New trends and impact of parallel robotics and machinery in industry.

With the increase of life expectancy, a higher number of elderly need assistance to maintain their mobility and their independance. The hip joint is crucial for walking and is problematic for a large number of aged people. In this paper we present a novel ...

Assistive devices, such as exoskeletons and prostheses, have revolutionized the field of rehabilitation and mobility assistance. Efficiently detecting transitions between different activities, such as walking, stair ascending and descending, and sitting, i ...

A new rehabilitation and fitness robot called the “Lambda Robot” is presented. This paper introduces a concept of a parallel robot that may be used for mobilization of the lower extremities. Hence, it may be used for fitness as well as for rehabilitation f ...

Lower limb wearable robotics also known as exoskeleton or power suit is a booming field of research. Potential medical applications cover a large range of gait disorders from rehabilitation to assistance in daily mobility. Surprisingly, or not, paraplegia ...

In this work, an iterative learning control (ILC) is applied to a Delta robot in order to improve the tracking precision at high dynamic movement. Delta robot is a parallel manipulator designed for high-speed pick and place operations. Since the dynamic of ...

In this paper we present the LegoPress, a simple and cost-effective robotic device intended to be used for leg-press movements in rehabilitation and training. Basic adjustments can be done on the sitting position so as to maximize comfort and adapt the pos ...

M. Bouchoucha, S. Seghour, H. Osmani, M. Bouri. Integral Backstepping for Attitude Tracking of a Quadrotor System // Electronics and Electrical Engineering. - Kaunas: Technologija, 2011. - No. 10(116). - P. 75-80. ...

In one embodiment, the exoskeleton structure is fastened to the body of the user by a brace and at the foot level. The exoskeleton includes at least one set of three joints corresponding to the hip abduction/adduction, the hip flexion/extension and the kne ...

The invention concerns a method of performing automatic standing balance of a user in a full mobilization exoskeleton with at least a foot and using at least two actuated degrees of freedom, wherein a controller uses information provided from sensors to pr ...
