We demonstrate the potential of Euclid’s slitless spectroscopy to discover high-redshift (z > 5) quasars and their main photometric contaminant, ultracool dwarfs. Sensitive infrared spectroscopy from space is able to efficiently identify both population ...

Data and code associated with the following paper V. Vento, et al., Phys. Rev. Res. (2025) A thorough explanation of the experiment performed is available there. The name of each sub-folder and file in S-AS_chi3_code.zip indicates the corresponding figure ...

Metabolic magnetic resonance spectroscopic imaging using hyperpolarized contrast agents offers a non-invasive approach to monitoring real-time in vivo energy metabolism. The technique involves hyperpolarizing a contrast agent in a polarizer, administering ...

Improving the kinetics and selectivity of CO2/CO electroreduction to valuable multi-carbon products is a challenge for science and is a requirement for practical relevance. Here we develop a thiol-modified surface ligand strategy that promotes electrochemi ...

Atomically precise hydrogen desorption lithography using scanning tunnelling microscopy (STM) has enabled the development of single-atom, quantum-electronic devices on a laboratory scale. Scaling up this technology to mass-produce these devices requires br ...

Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDXS) mapping with a scanning transmission electron microscope (STEM) is commonly used for chemical characterization of materials. However, STEM-EDXS quantification becomes challenging when the phases constituting the ...

This dataset accompanies the publication "Quantum-mechanical effects in photoluminescence from thin crystalline gold films" published in Light: Science & Applications (https://doi.org/10.1038/s41377-024-01408-2). The data can be used to reproduce plots 1-4 ...

In August 2021, a historic heatwave was recorded in Greece which resulted in extreme wildfire events that strongly affected the air quality over the city of Athens. Saharan dust was also transferred over Greece on certain days of the same period due to the ...

The integration of transition-metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) with non-planar substrates such as nanopillars provides a way to spatially modify the optical properties mainly through the localized strain. Similar studies to date have utilized insulating SiO2 n ...

Modeling ferroelectric materials from first principles is one of the successes of density-functional theory and the driver of much development effort, requiring an accurate description of the electronic processes and the thermodynamic equilibrium that driv ...

Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) chemical shifts are a direct probe of local atomic environments and can be used to determine the structure of solid materials. However, the substantial computational cost required to predict accurate chemical shifts is a ke ...

Supported Pd-based catalysts used in heterogeneously catalyzed liquid phase processes often undergo an activation step through reduction of the oxide phase or of the oxidic passivation layer prior to reaction. An oxidized Pd/Al2O3 catalyst was reduced by u ...

Rationale The Analysis of Oligonucleotide Modifications from Mass Spectra (Aom(2)S) was created to support the analysis of oligonucleotide mass spectra. This application complements the existing software tools by providing a comprehensive analysis of oligo ...

The effect of water on the kinetics of oxymethylene dimethyl ether (OME) synthesis from dimethoxymethane (OME1) and trioxane (TRI) has been investigated in a combined kinetic and in situ infrared spectroscopy study. The kinetic study revealed that a water ...

Several magnesium matrix composites were investigated by means of mechanical spectroscopy. A modulus anomaly has been observed in the composites reinforced with fibers while the phenomenon does not occur with particles. This effect is attributed to bonding ...

A series of homoditopic ligands H2LCX (X=4–6) has been designed to self-assemble with lanthanide ions (LnIII), resulting in neutral bimetallic helicates of overall composition [Ln2ACHTUNGTRENUNG(LCX)3] with the aim of testing the influence of substituents ...

Photoacoustic spectroscopy is a well-established gas traces optical detection technique, which consists in the generation of an acoustic wave in the investigated gas compound excited by a modulated laser beam, and in the detection of this sound wave with a ...
