Surface treatment of textiles causes a significant amount of environmental pollution and endowing traditional fabrics with multiple functions through facile methods remains challenging. Here a simple strategy is proposed involving the copolymerization of m ...

The black phase of formamidinium lead iodide (FAPbI(3)) perovskite shows huge promise as an efficient photovoltaic, but it is not favoured energetically at room temperature, meaning that the undesirable yellow phases are always present alongside it during ...

“Switchable water” is an aqueous solution containing a water‐soluble amine additive that exhibits CO2‐switchable properties, such as large changes in ionic strength, by forming an ammonium bicarbonate salt. Switchable water has been used to reversibly “sal ...

The electrospray ionisation mass spectra (EDESI-MS) of Ru6C(CO)16(PPh3) and Ir4(CO)11(PR3) (PR3 = PPh3, P(p-C6H4OMe)3, P(p-C6

The electron transport layer (ETL) is a crucial component of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) as it greatly influences their photovoltaic performance. Among various currently used ETL materials, SnO₂ stands out due to its unique advantages, including low‐temp ...

Tris(pyrazolyl)methane (tpm), 2,2,2-tris(pyrazolyl)ethanol (tpmOH) and its esterification derivatives with ibuprofen and flurbiprofen (tpmIBU and tpmFLU) were used as ligands to obtain complexes of the type [Fe(tpmX)2]Cl2 (1-4). The tpmIBU and tpmFLU ligan ...

Anthracene derivatives of ruthenium(II) arene compounds with 1,3,5-triaza-7-phosphatricyclo[3.3.1.1]decane (pta) or a sugar phosphite ligand, viz., 3,5,6-bicyclophosphite1,2-O-isopropylidene-alpha-D-glucofuranoside, were prepared in order to evaluate their ...

Reaction of RuCl3 with 1-[2-(1,4-cyclohexadiene-1-yl)alkyl]-3-methylimidazolium chloride (alkyl = Et, butyl) and 1-[2-(1,4-cyclohexadiene-1-yl)ethyl]-2,3-dimethylimidazolium chloride affords a series of dimeric ruthenium complexes of the type [RuCl2(η6-are ...

A new series of organometallic ruthenium(II)-arene compounds of the type RuCl2(η6-arene)(phosphine) (phosphine = 1,3,5-triaza-7-phosphaadamantane, PTA, and 3,7-diacetly-1,3,7-triaza-5-phosphabicyclo[3.3.1]nonane, DAPTA) with different ...

The one-step conversion of cellulose to C6-alcs. via green and energy efficient approaches has, as far as we are aware, not been reported. Such a process presents a considerable challenge, the two key problems being (1) finding a suitable solvent that diss ...

Aldol reaction of allomaltol with arom. aldehydes, e.g., RC6H4CHO, R = H, 4-NO2, 4-F, 2-F and 3,4,5-(MeO)3C5H2CHO, gave 2-(hydroxyphenylmethyl)-3-hydroxy-6-methylpyran-4(1)-ones, maltol-derived ligands. Organometallic Ru(II)-arene complexes, [RuCl2(cymene) ...

A series of allyl-functionalized imidazolium salts are reported, including 1-allyl-3-ethylimidazolium iodide and 1-allyl-3-propylimidazolium iodide, which have m.ps. close to room temp. and show typical properties of supercooled fluids if heated above thei ...

Salt passivation of perovskite often results in formation of 2D perovskite layers, which impaired charge transport behaviour. Here, the authors study the energy barrier of 2D perovskite formation upon passivation by different iodide salt, and provide insig ...

In this viewpoint we discuss the contributions from John S. Wilkes and Michael J. Zaworotko concerning the discovery of stable ionic liquids (ILs) and their accompanying structural studies (J. Chem. Soc., Chem. Commun., 1992, 965) and Robin D. Rogers and J ...

Palladium(II) complexes with N,N-bis(diphenylphosphino)aniline ligands catalyze the Heck reaction between styrene and aryl bromides, affording stilbenes in good yield. The structures of two of the complexes used as pre-catalysts have been detd. by single-c ...

The mechanism of solvation and stabilization of palladium nanoparticles in the 1,3-dimethylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate ionic liquid (IL) has been studied using a combination of density functional theory and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations-with hybrid ...

The synthesis and in vitro anticancer activity of OsII-arene complexes with carbohydrate-derived phosphite co-ligands are reported. The compds. were characterized by std. methods and the mol. structure of dichlorido(η6-p-cymene)(3,5,6-bicyclophosphite-1,2- ...

The arene osmium metalla-prism (p-cymene)(6)Os-6(donq)(3)(tpt)(2) (2) (donq 5,8-dioxydo-1,4-naphthoquinonato, tpt 2,4,6-tri(pyridin-4-yl)-1,3,5-triazine) has been prepared from the dinuclear arene osmium precursor [(p-cymene)(2)Os-2(donq)Cl-2] ...

Task-specific ionic liquids bearing nitrile functional groups attached to the cation and nitrogen-donor-containing anions strongly affect the efficiency of the Stille cross-coupling, influencing the nature of the catalyst and its stability. The relative st ...
