Spectrometry of a quantum state of light is a fundamental challenge with practical implications. Here, we demonstrate how such a technique can super-resolve the exciton and biexciton energies in a single quantum dot at room temperature. ...

Light detection and ranging (LiDAR) systems based on direct time-of-flight (DTOF) are used in spacecraft navigation, assembly-line robotics, augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR), (drone-based) surveillance, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and a ...

Fluorescence molecular tomography (FMT) emerges as a powerful non-invasive imaging tool with the ability to resolve fluorescence signals from sources located deep in living tissues. Yet, the accuracy of FMT reconstruction depends on the deviation of the as ...

We propose a phase-insensitive parametric amplifier featuring image cancelation and a doubly tuned transformer to enhance its bandwidth. Exploiting the reduced loss of passive components at cryogenic temperatures, the experimental characterization of a pro ...

The grand challenge of scaling up quantum computers requires a full-stack architectural standpoint. In this position paper, we will present the vision of a new generation of scalable quantum computing architectures featuring distributed quantum cores (Qcor ...

Quantum ghost imaging is a method that utilizes thecorrelated detection of two photons to generate an image. One photonis detected by an imaging sensor and the other by a single-elementbucket detector. The selection of the imaging sensor and itscapabilitie ...

A novel imaging technique is proposed for fully digital detection of phase and intensity of light. A fully integrated camera implementing the new technique was fabricated in a 0.35μm CMOS technology. When coupled to a modulated light source, the camera can ...

High voltage arbitrary waveform generator (1) comprising: - a voltage-controlled oscillator (3) arranged to output a clock signal (CLK) and an inverted clock signal (Formula (I)) at a frequency determined by at least one control voltage (Formula (II)); - a ...

Niobium nitride (NbN) is a particularly promising material for quantum technology applications, as it shows the degree of reproducibility necessary for large-scale superconducting circuits. We demonstrate that resonators based on NbN thin films present a o ...

Reinterpretable cameras are defined by their post-processing capabilities that exceed traditional imaging. We present "SoDaCam" that provides reinterpretable cameras at the granularity of photons, from photon-cubes acquired by single-photon devices. Photon ...

A new imager for 3D near-infrared imaging has been designed based on a single-photon avalanche diode (SPAD) imager with 128x128 pixels capable of performing time-resolved measurements with a resolution of 97ps. The imager linearity has been improved to mak ...

A system for photon correlation of an illuminated object and/or a light source, including a light source for illuminating the object or to correlate, an optical system having an object-facing side configured to face the object or the light source and a pro ...

This study presents the first in depth characterization of deep cryogenic electrical behavior of a commercial 16 nm CMOS FinFET technology. This technology is well suited for a broad range of applications, including quantum computing, quantum sensing, and ...

Single-photon avalanche diodes (SPADs) are an emerging sensor technology capable of detecting individual incident photons, and capturing their time-of-arrival with high timing precision. While these sensors were limited to singlepixel or low-resolution dev ...

Cross-talk is a well-known feature of single-photon avalanche detectors. It is especially important to account for this effect in applications involving temporal coincidences of two or more photons registered by the sensor since in this case the cross-talk ...

Correlation plenoptic imaging (CPI) is a novel technological imaging modality enabling to overcome drawbacks of standard plenoptic devices, while preserving their advantages. However, a major challenge in view of real-time application of CPI is related to ...

A 64-by-64-pixel CMOS single-photon avalanche diode (SPAD) imager for time-resolved fluorescence detection features actively quenched and reset pixels, allowing gated detection to eliminate pile-up nonlinearities common to most time-correlated single-photo ...

We present a single-photon camera for fluorescence imaging, with a time resolution better than 100ps, capable of providing both intensity and lifetime images. the camera was fabricated in standard CMOS technology. With this FluoCam we show the possibility ...

Cryogenic CMOS, or cryo-CMOS circuits and systems, are emerging in VLSI design for many applications, in primis quantum computing. Fault-tolerant quantum bits (qubits) in surface code configurations, one of the most accepted implementations in quantum comp ...
