Techniques of TiO2 film fabrication for dye-sensitized solar cells having a conversion efficiency of global air mass 1.5 (AM 1.5, 1000 W/m(2)) solar light to electric power over 10% are reported. Newly implemented fabrication technologies consist of pre-tr ...

In this work, we synthesized novel hole transporting materials (HTMs) and studied their impact on the stability of perovskite-based solar cells (PSCs). The steady-state maximum power output of devices in working condition was monitored to assess the stabil ...

Work function modulation of transparent conductive oxides via self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) facilitates efficient hole or electron extraction in optoelectronic devices. However, recent SAMs for perovskite solar cells (PSCs) diverge from traditional inte ...

A ruthenium complex trans-[Ru(L)(NCS)2], L ) 4,4¢¢¢-di- tert-butyl-4¢,4¢¢-bis(carboxylic acid)-2,2¢:6¢,2¢¢:6¢¢,2¢¢¢- quaterpyridine (N886), was synthesized and characterized by spectroscopic and electrochemical methods. The absorption spectrum of the N886 ...

Monolithic all-perovskite tandem solar cells present a promising approach for exceeding the efficiency limit of single-junction solar cells. However, the substantial open-circuit voltage loss in the wide-bandgap perovskite subcell hinders further improveme ...

A new photoelectrochromic device (PECD) is presented in this work proposing the combination of a WO3-based electrochromic device (ECD) and a polymer-based dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC). In the newly designed architecture, a photocurable polymeric membra ...

Nanoporous layers of poly(3,4-propylenedioxythiophene) (PProDOT) were fabricated by electrical-field-assisted growth using hydrophobic ionic liquids as the growing medium. A series of PProDoT layers was prepared with three different ionic liquids to contro ...

Heterojunctions between p-type cuprous oxide (Cu2O) and suitable n-type layers stand out as some of the best performing and abundant oxide photoabsorbers currently available for the generation of hydrogen with photoelectrochemical cells or conversion of so ...

A set of three N,N-di-p-methoxyphenylamine-substituted pyrene derivatives have successfully been synthesized and characterized by H-1/C-13 NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and elemental analysis. The optical and electronic structures of the pyrene deri ...

The photocurrent density-voltage (J(V)) curve is the fundamental characteristic to assess opto-electronic devices, in particular solar cells. However, it only yields information on the performance inte-grated over the entire active device area. Here, a met ...

Light-induced degradation in metal halide perovskites is a major concern that can potentially hamper the commercialization of perovskite optoelectronic devices. The phenomena viz. ion migration, phase segregation, and defect intolerance are believed to be ...

Herein, we present the precise stoichiometric control of methlyammonium lead iodide perovskite thin-films using high vacuum dual-source vapor-phase deposition. We found that UV/Vis absorption and emission spectra were inadequate for assessing precisely the ...

A novel heteroleptic ruthenium complex carrying a heteroaromatic-4,4'-pi-conjugated 2,2'-bipyridine [Ru(II)LL'(NCS)(2)] (L = 4,4'-bis[(E)-2-(3,4-ethylenedioxythien-2-yl)vinyl]-2,2'-bipyridine, L' = 4,4'-(dicarboxylic acid)-2,2'-bipyridine) was synthesized ...

In this work, we present a high-performance, stable formamidinium lead iodide (FAPI) perovskite solar cell (PSC) achieved through the use of 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidinyloxyl (TEMPO) bulk passivation and rapid photonic annealing. Utilizing flash infrared ...

Two cyanobiphenyl liquid crystals (LCs), 5CB (4-cyano-4'-pentylbiphenyl) and 8CB (4-cyano-4'-octylbiphenyl), are introduced as additives into Co(II/ III) electrolytes for dye-sensitized solar cells (DSCs). An electrolyte containing a combination of these L ...

Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) have shown significant potential for indoor arid building integrated photovoltaic applications. Herein we present three new D-A-pi-A organic sensitizers, XY1, XY2, and XY3, that exhibit high molar extinction coefficients ...

The present invention relates to a compound of formula (I) based on carbazole substituted by diphenylamine and used as organic hole conductors or hole transporting material in a optoelectronic or photoelectrochemical device. (I), D being being selected fro ...

To understand the cause of the high open circuit photovoltage (VOC) achieved by todays' state of the art perovskite solar cells (PSCs), we examine formamidinium lead bromide CH(NH2)(2)PbBr3 films by ultrafast transient absorption spectroscopy (TAS). By usi ...
