Black phosphorus quantum dots (BPQDs) are proposed as effective seed-like sites to modulate the nucleation and growth of CsPbI2Br perovskite crystalline thin layers, allowing an enhanced crystallization and remarkable morphological improvement. We reveal t ...

The present invention relates to novel pyridine compounds that can be used as anchoring ligands in metal-based sensitizing dyes of dye sensitized solar cells (DSCs). The dyes comprising the polypyridine compounds exhibit improved light harvesting ability a ...

Hybrid organic-inorganic perovskite materials have risen up as leading components for light-harvesting applications. However, to date many questions are still open concerning the operation of perovskite solar cells (PSCs). A systematic analysis of the inte ...

Endosseous implant to be applied to a human or animal bone, said implant having a smooth or rough surface texture and wherein said surface has been treated with at least one organic compound carrying at least one phosphonic acid group or a salt thereof and method for producing said implant.

A heteroleptic polypyridyl ruthenium complex, cis-Ru(4,4-bis(5-octylthieno[3,2-b]thiophen-2-yl)-2,2-bipyridine)(4,4-dicarboxyl-2,2-bipyridine)(NCS)2, with a high molar extinction coefficient of 20.5 × 103 M-1 cm-1 at 553 nm has been synthesized and demonst ...

The success of perovskite solar cells has sparked enormous excitement in the photovoltaic community not only because of unexpectedly high efficiencies but also because of the future potential ascribed to such crystalline absorber materials. Far from being ...

Blue and green dyes as well as NIR-absorbing dyes have attracted great interest because of their excellent ability of absorbing the incident photons in the red and near-infrared range region. A novel blue D-pi-A dye (Dyenamo Blue), based on the diketopyrro ...

We demonstrate a high efficiency perovskite solar cell with a hybrid hole-transporting material-counter electrode based on a thin single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) film and a drop-cast 2,2,7,-7-tetrakis(N, N-di-p-methoxyphenylamine)-9,90-spirobifluoren ...

In this work we show that the rate-dependent hysteresis seen in current-voltage scans of CH3NH3PbI3 perovskite solar cells is related to a slow field-induced process that tends to cancel the electric field in the device at each applied bias voltage. It is ...

Formamidinium lead triiodide (FAPbI3) has recently been considered as the most promising candidate to achieve highly efficient perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Excitingly, the state-of-the-art highest efficiency of FAPbI3 based PSCs have reached over 25%. Ho ...

Two D-pi-A dyes, one with a strong electron withdrawing cyanoacrylic acid DPP 20 and one with a weak acceptor carboxylic acid DPP 21 have been synthesized and characterized for their application in dye-sensitized solar cells. This allows us to understand t ...

Proceedings of the EC Contractors' Meeting held in Cadarache, 26-28 October 1981

A series of five organic donor-π-bridge-acceptor (D-π-A) sensitizers is investigated within the context of their photoinduced charge-transfer properties. Thereby, the focus is set on the impact of structural modifications of the molecular architecture on t ...

A mere 2 nm conformal titanium dioxide overlayer coated by atomic layer deposition is shown to act as a blocking layer for high-efficiency solid-state perovskite (CH3NH3PbI3) absorber-based solar cells. Surpassing the existing multilayer passivation, this ...

Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSCs) based on copper(II/I) redox mediators have recently achieved notable performance progress through tailoring the ligand structure of the copper complexes, exploiting cosensitization, and introducing an advanced device struc ...

The state-of-the-art performance, obtained through the reduction of precursor gas residence time in hematite photoanodes produced by APCVD, is explained in this report by an enhanced preferential orientation of the highly conductive crystal planes perpendi ...

Impedance measurements of meso-porous TiO2 electrodes in contact with aq. and nonaq. electrolytes have been performed in the dark and under UV illumination. In the dark the differential capacitance was found to be dominated by the back contact. Bandgap excitation of the TiO2 film turned on a capacitance assocd. with the meso-porous semiconductor layer. This is interpreted in terms of trapping of photogenerated holes in surface states leading to unpinning of the energy bands. The unpinning of the energy band

Nanocrystalline anatase titanium dioxide powders were produced by a hydrothermal synthesis route in pure form and substituted with trivalent Ga3+ and Y3+ or pentavalent Nb5+ with the intention of creating acceptor or donor states, respectively. The electri ...

Here we introduce a new solvent-free preparation method for hybrid metal halide perovskites involving the direct reaction of metallic lead with polyiodide melts. We discovered new reactive polyiodide melts (RPMs) that can be prepared simply by adding eleme ...
