ResearchSchuhmacher Lab & Chemical and Membrane Biology It's all about the lipids: In the Schuhmacher Lab we are interested in answering outstanding questions in membrane biology. Our chemical biology approach opens the door to investigate the so far mostly invisible and thus secret work of lipids. In particular, we would like to understand the biological role of lipid diversity and their impact on signaling processes. Teaching & PhD PhD Students Mélissa Ruiz, Gary Domeniconi, Linda Wedemann Courses Chemical Biology Seminar Series 1 CH-635 PhD students can broaden their horizon in the field of chemical biology by listening to 14 talks by speakers who talk about their recent research. The PhD students get the opportunity to also personally meet the speakers Chemical Biology Seminar Series 2 CH-636 PhD students can broaden their horizon in the field of chemical biology by listening to 14 talks by speakers who talk about their recent research. The PhD students get the opportunity to also personally meet the speakers. Chemical Biology Seminar Series 3 CH-637 PhD students can broaden their horizon in the field of chemical biology by listening to 8 to 14 talks by speakers who talk about their recent research. The PhD students get the opportunity to also personally meet the speakers. Practical - Schuhmacher Lab BIO-618 It's all about the lipids: We use a chemical biology approach to answer outstanding questions in membrane biology. We show you how to use our lipid tools that allow you to manipulate lipid concentrations and visualize them in cells.
