As a result of their attractive optoelectronic properties, metal halide APbI(3)perovskites employing formamidinium (FA(+)) as the A cation are the focus of research. The superior chemical and thermal stability of FA(+)cations makes alpha-FAPbI(3)more suita ...

To develop photosensitizers with high open-circuit photovoltage (Voc) is a crucial strategy to enhance the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of co-sensitized solar cells. Here, we show a judiciously tailored organic photosensitizer, coded MS5, featuring th ...

The use of molecular modulators to reduce the defect density at the surface and grain boundaries of perovskite materials has been demonstrated to be an effective approach to enhance the photovoltaic performance and device stability of perovskite solar cell ...

Metal halide perovskites have thepotential to revolutionizethefield of photovoltaics, though limited stability has impeded commercialexploitation. The soft heterointerface between the perovskite andcharge-transporting layer is one of the major bottlenecks ...

Hybrid perovskites stand out as one of the leading materials in the new generation of photovoltaics. Their stability under operating conditions, however, remains an ongoing challenge. In particular, aging at the interface with the charge transport material ...

A-site cation mixing can enhance the photovoltaic performance of a wide-bandgap (WBG) perovskite, but rubidium (Rb) cation mixing generally forms a nonperovskite phase. We report that lattice strain locks Rb ions into the α-phase of the lattice of a triple ...

Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have made great advances in terms of power conversion efficiency (PCE), yet their subpar stability continues to hinder their commercialization. The interface between the perovskite layer and the charge-carrier transporting lay ...

We report on the preparation of MAPbBr(3) perovskite films of high electronic quality by applying a methylamine (MA) vapor treatment and mitigating surface defects using the amphiphilic molecular passivator, neopentylammonium chloride (NPACl). We find that ...

Improvements to perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have focused on increasing their power conversion efficiency (PCE) and operational stability and maintaining high performance upon scale-up to module sizes. We report that replacing the commonly used mesoporous ...

Metal halide perovskites (MHPs) have shown an incredible increase in efficiency, reaching as high as 25.7%, which now competes with traditional photovoltaic technologies. Herein, we excluded CsX and RbX (X = I–, Br–, Cl–), the most commonly used cations to ...

Hybrid perovskites are emerging as top contenders in the next generation of photovoltaics, yet their stability under operational conditions remains a significant challenge. Specifically, degradation occurs at the interface with charge transport layers in p ...

The cost, stability, and photovoltaic performance of photosensi-tizers play a key role in the commercialization of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSCs). Herein, three novel sensitizers termed ZS10, ZS11, and ZS12 are described based on the simple chemical str ...

Various approaches have been employed to passivate the defects in perovskite films used in perovskite solar cells (PSCs). However, the passivation mechanism is often unclear at a molecular level, and the reason for enhanced PSC performance often remains el ...

There exists a considerable density of interaggregate grain boundaries (GBs) and intra-aggregate GBs in polycrystalline perovskites. Mitigation of intra- aggregate GBs is equally notable to that of interaggregate GBs as intra-aggregate GBs can also cause d ...

Perovskite solar cells have led the new surge of solar energy research. However, their instability is a pressing issue mostly attributed to the perovskite interface with charge-selective transport layers. In this work, diethylammonium iodide (DEAI) surface ...

Formamidinium lead iodide perovskites are promising light-harvesting materials, yet stabilizing them under operating conditions without compromising optimal optoelectronic properties remains challenging. We report a multimodal host–guest complexation strat ...

The electron transport layer (ETL) is a crucial component of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) as it greatly influences their photovoltaic performance. Among various currently used ETL materials, SnO₂ stands out due to its unique advantages, including low‐temp ...

In this work, we present a high-performance, stable formamidinium lead iodide (FAPI) perovskite solar cell (PSC) achieved through the use of 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidinyloxyl (TEMPO) bulk passivation and rapid photonic annealing. Utilizing flash infrared ...

Mixtures of cations or halides with FAPbI(3) (where FA is formamidinium) lead to high efficiency in perovskite solar cells (PSCs) but also to blue-shifted absorption and long-term stability issues caused by loss of volatile methylammonium (MA) and phase se ...

Passivation of interfacial defects serves as an effective means to realize highly efficient and stable perovskite solar cells (PSCs). However, most molecular modulators currently used to mitigate such defects form poorly conductive aggregates at the perovs ...
