The nature of the dynamics and structural changes that take place at the ferroelectric phase transition in lead oxides is a rich field of study. Solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) of Pb-207 is well suited to study the local structure and disorder ...

Interfacial modification is crucial to fully develop the potential of semiconductor devices, including the revolutionary halide perovskite-based optoelectronics, such as photovoltaics, light-emitting diodes, and photodetectors. The all-inorganic halide per ...

We investigate changes in the local environment of Pb-207 sites in the relaxor ferroelectric 0.67PbMg(1/3)Nb(2/3)O(3)-0.33PbTiO(3) using variable temperature magic angle spinning nuclear magnetic resonance. We observe a Gaussian distribution of Pb-207 chem ...

Phosphorus is a critical nutrient affecting primary productivity across all ecosystems. Many regions worldwide are limited or co-limited by phosphorus availability, which can be alleviated through atmospheric deposition. Dust is known to be a key external ...

Low sensitivity is the primary limitation to extendingnuclearmagnetic resonance (NMR) techniques to more advanced chemical andstructural studies. Photochemically induced dynamic nuclear polarization(photo-CIDNP) is an NMR hyperpolarization technique where ...

Porous organic polymers (POPs) have gained tremendous attention owing to their chemical tunability, stability and high surface areas. Whereas there are several examples of fully conjugated two-dimensional (2D) POPs, three-dimensional (3D) ones are rather c ...

Sensing of a few unpaired electron spins, such as in metal ions and radicals, is a useful but difficult task in nanoscale physics, biology, and chemistry. Single negatively charged nitrogen-vacancy (NV-) centers in diamond offer high sensitivity and spatia ...

The synthesis of molecular-sieving zeolitic membranes by the assembly of building blocks, avoiding the hydrothermal treatment, is highly desired to improve reproducibility and scalability. Here we report exfoliation of the sodalite precursor RUB-15 into cr ...

Two-dimensional (2D) hybrid perovskite solar cells have induced widespread research interest owing to their higher stability as compared to three-dimensional (3D) analogues. The photovoltaic performance, however, is still limited. Here, we report a perovsk ...

Here, we introduce a method for the synthesis of atomically precise, supported, multiatom catalysts by liquid-phase atomic layer deposition. This technique is based on consecutive grafting reactions in mild conditions that build supported active sites atom ...

The introduction of high-frequency, high-power microwave sources, tailored biradicals, and low-temperature magic angle spinning (MAS) probes has led to a rapid development of hyperpolarization strategies for solids and frozen solutions, leading to large ga ...

Mixtures of cations or halides with FAPbI(3) (where FA is formamidinium) lead to high efficiency in perovskite solar cells (PSCs) but also to blue-shifted absorption and long-term stability issues caused by loss of volatile methylammonium (MA) and phase se ...
