This paper presents a novel sensor front-end circuit that addresses the issues of 1/f noise and distortion in a unique way by using canceling techniques. The proposed front-end is a fully differential transimpedance amplifier (TIA) targeted for current mod ...

This paper reports a new post-CMOS processing platform for die-level through-silicon-via (TSV) fabrication, based on wafer reconstitution from embedded dies, parylene deposition, stencil lithography, and bottom-up electroplating. The goal of this work is t ...

In recent years, the characterization of surface molecular layers by localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) has attracted a lot of interest thanks to its ability to provide a higher spatial resolution with respect to standard SPR. LSPR can be observed ...

Counting cells in a large microchannel remains challenging and is particularly critical for in vitro assays, such as cell adhesion assays. This paper addresses this issue, by presenting the development of interdigitated three-dimensional electrodes, which ...

The paper discusses the recent achievements in the development of chips with integrated sensing of biomolecules. In particular, it focuses on integrated sensing electrodes on silicon and presents innovative solutions for the enhanced robustness of the elec ...

A method for performing a post processing pattern on a diced chip having a foot-print, comprises the steps of providing a support wafer; applying a first dry film photoresist to the support wafer; positioning a mask corresponding to the footprint of the di ...

A dielectrophoretic detection device comprising a chip, with a flow channel having at least one inlet and one outlet, and at least a detection area configured to detect analytes trapped on functionalised beads flowing within said flow channel, a first and ...

In order to improve the efficacy and safety of treatments, drug dosage needs to be adjusted to the actual needs of each patient in a truly personalized medicine approach. Key for widespread dosage adjustment is the availability of point-of-care devices abl ...

The signal-to-noise ratio of planar ISFET pH sensors deteriorates when reducing the area occupied by the device, thus hampering the scalability of on-chip analytical systems which detect the DNA polymerase through pH measurements. Top-down nano-sized tri-g ...

More than 40 years after the invention of semiconductor pH microtransducers known as ISFETs, this transistor-based technology may revolutionize quantitative PCR. ...

Device, system and method for sorting particles comprised into a fluid are disclosed that improve the current settings of deterministic lateral displacement (DLD)-based microfluidic devices, so to sort and detect small particles such as extracellular vesic ...

A review is presented of advances and challenges in fully integrated systems for personalised medicine applications. One key issue for the commercialisation of such systems is the disposability of the assay-substrate at a low cost. This work adds a new dim ...

Using electrically connected metal-coated posts in a deterministic lateral displacement (DLD) device and applying electric fields, electrokinetics is used to tune separations, significantly decrease the critical size for separation, and increase the dynami ...

The invention relates to a vaginal fluid monitoring device embedded into a feminine sanitary pad, said device comprising a stack of the following elements: An absorbent layer (100) configured to be in proximity to, and collect, a vaginal fluid; and A biose ...
