Reliable quantification of the macromolecule signals in short echo-time H-1 MRS spectra is particularly important at high magnetic fields for an accurate quantification of metabolite concentrations (the neurochemical profile) due to effectively increased s ...

Objective: This study evaluates the performance of a twisted pair transmission line coil as a transceive element for 7 T MRI in terms of physical flexibility, robustness to shape deformations, and interelement decoupling. Methods: Each coil element was cre ...

Background and purpose: This study aims to evaluate the neurochemical characteristics of pathological tissues by 1H magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) in patient with pharmaco-resistant focal epilepsy at 7 T. Methods: Thirteen patients with drug-resista ...

Accurate assessment of the macromolecule contributions in short echo-time proton MRS spectra is important for a reliable quantification of the neurochemical profile. The aim of the present study was to assess two approaches based on using LCModel, which ta ...

The aim of this article is to illustrate the principal challenges, from the medical and technical point of view, associated with the use of ultrahigh field (UHF) scanners in the clinical setting and to present available solutions to circumvent these limita ...

The present invention concerns a method for determining an estimated value for different parameters on the basis of one or more acquired signals obtained during a Magnetic Resonance Fingerprinting measurement. The method includes using a correction model a ...

Whole-brain proton magnetic resonance spectroscopic imaging (H-1-MRSI) is a non-invasive technique for assessing neurochemical distribution in the brain, offering valuable insights into brain functions and neural diseases. It greatly benefits from the impr ...

OBJECT: To determine the single spin-echo T 2 relaxation times of uncoupled and J-coupled metabolites in rat brain in vivo at 14.1 T and to compare these results with those previously obtained at 9.4 T. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Measurements were performed on ...

Localized proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy ((1)H-MRS) is a noninvasive tool for measuring in vivo neurochemical information in animal and human brains. With the increase of magnetic field strength, whereas localized (1)H-MRS benefits from higher sens ...
