Inexact hardware design, which advocates trading the accuracy of computations in exchange for significant savings in area, power and/or performance of computing hardware, has received increasing prominence in several error-tolerant application domains, par ...

The paper presents a generalization of DAG-aware AIG rewriting for k-feasible Boolean networks, whose nodes are k-input lookup tables (k-LUTs). We introduce a high-effort DAG-aware rewriting algorithm, called cut rewriting, which uses exact synthesis to co ...

The increasing processing capability of Multi-Processor Systems-on-Chips (MPSoCs) is leading to an increase in chip power dissipation, which in turn leads to significant increase in chip temperature. An important challenge facing the MPSoC designers is to ...

3D-ICs based on TSV technology provide high bandwidth inter-chip connections. The drawback is that most of the existing TSVs consume a large amount of silicon real estate. We present circuit-level design and analysis of area efficient, low power, high-data ...

Drug delivery is one of the most common clinical routines in hospitals, and is critical to patients’ health and recovery. It includes a decision making process in which a medical doctor decides the amount (dose) and frequency (dose interval) on the basis o ...

In silico modeling of Gene Regulatory Networks has gained a lot of attention recently as it gives a very powerful tool to experimental biologists to gather the knowledge gained from different biological experiments and understand the dynamics of the overal ...

3D ultrasound, an emerging medical imaging technique that is presently only used in hospitals, has the potential to enable breakthrough telemedicine applications, provided that its cost and power dissipation can be minimized. In this paper, we present an F ...

We report here on a new insight for bio-sensing based on the memristive effect of functionalized Schottky-barrier memristive silicon nanowire in dry environment. The device concept is discussed. Electrical measurements confirm the bio-detection by the narr ...

Current Systems-On-Chip execute applications that demand extensive parallel processing. Networks-On-Chip (NoC) provide a structured way of realizing interconnections on silicon, and obviate the limitations of bus-based solutions. NoCs can have regular or a ...

A large progress in pH sensing with nanowire based ion-sensitive field-effect transistors (ISFETs) has been demonstrated over the years. The electrochemical reactions occurring at the wire surface-to-electrolyte interface play a key role in the detection o ...

We present an algorithm for computing both functional dependency and unateness of combinational and sequential Boolean func- tions represented as logic networks. The algorithm uses SAT-based tech- niques from Combinational Equivalence Checking (CEC) ...

Majority-inverter graphs (MIGs) are a multi-level logic representation of Boolean functions with remarkable algebraic and Boolean properties that enable efficient logic optimizations beyond the capabilities of conventional logic representations. In this pa ...
