The efficiencies of perovskite solar cells have gone from single digits to a certified 22.1% in a few years' time. At this stage of their development, the key issues concern how to achieve further improvements in efficiency and long-term stability. We revi ...

The effect of TBP on Co(II/III) redox electrolyte was examined. Photocurrent of the device can be limited in electrolyte with high TBP concentration due to its viscous nature. The higher amount of TBP in electrolyte increases the viscosity of electrolyte a ...

Reduced graphene oxide (rGO) is a very stable material with tunable electronic properties dependent on its reduction level. Nevertheless, the incorporation of rGO into perovskite solar cells (PSCs) frequently demonstrates inconsistent results, and it plays ...

There is an ongoing surge of interest in the use of formamidinium (FA) lead iodide perovskites in photovoltaics due to their exceptional optoelectronic properties. However, thermodynamic instability of the desired cubic perovskite (α-FAPbI3) phase at ambie ...

Preventing the degradation of metal perovskite solar cells (PSCs) by humid air poses a substantial challenge for their future deployment. We introduce here a two-dimensional (2D) A(2)PbI(4) perovskite layer using pentafluoro-phenylethylammonium (FEA) as a ...

Organic-inorganic perovskites have an impressive potential for the design of next generation solar cells and are currently considered for upscaling and commercialization. Currently, perovskite solar cells rely on spin-coating which is neither practical for ...

An easy and scalable methylamine (MA) gas healing method was realized for inorganic cesium-based perovskite (CsPbX3) layers by incorporating a certain amount of MAX (X=I or Br) initiators into the raw film. It was found that the excess MAX accelerated the ...

The photopolymerization of Co(II)/Co(III) complexes for dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) by means of a fast, inexpensive, in situ and inhibition-free process has been examined. We have succeeded in fabricating high-performance DSSCs able to retain a ligh ...

CH3NH3PbI3 was found to exhibit inverse solubility at high temperatures in gamma-butyrolactone. Making use of this unusual, so far unreported phenomenon, we present a facile method for the growth of freestanding crystals of CH3NH3PbI3 from solution without ...
