A new 1,3-diketonato ligand containing both an electron-donor [4-(dimethylamino)benzene] and an electron-acceptor (4- nitrobenzene) group and its lanthanide complexes have been prepared. They display an intense intra-ligand charge-transfer absorption trans ...

Clathrochelate complexes of cobalt are known in the oxidation states I, II, and III. Low-valent Co(I) complexes are highly reactive compounds, and there is only limited knowledge about their structures in the solid state. Herein, we describe the crystallog ...

The combination of tripyridyl ligands and linear diboronate esters results in the formation of oligomeric or polymeric adducts featuring dative boron−nitrogen bonds. The relative orientation of the two different building blocks in the assemblies can be pre ...

A new aliphatic fluorinated amphiphilic additive is added to CH3NH3PbI3 perovskite to tune the morphology and enhance the environmental stability without sacrificing the performance of the devices. Judicious screening of the perovskite precursor solution r ...

A series of Fe complexes were synthesized and characterized as small molecule mimics for the active site of [Fe]-hydrogenase (Hmd). The collection includes both structurally new compounds and analogues of previously reported models. These complexes contain ...

First synthesized in 1991, EthynylBenziodoXolones (EBXs) - cyclic hypervalent iodine reagents derived from 2-iodobenzoic acid - are now among the most versatile electrophilic alkynylation reagents. Due to their cyclic structure, these reagents exhibit enha ...

Ten complexes of general formula [Ru(η6-arene)Cl2(L)], [Ru(η6-arene)Cl(L)2][X], and [Ru(η6-arene)(L)3][X]2 (η6-arene = benzene, p-cymene; L = imidazole, ...

With a view to develop drugs that could resist hydrolysis in aq. media, organometallic arene-capped ruthenium(II) 1,3,5-triaza-7-phosphatricyclo[3.3.1.1]decane (RAPTA) complexes bearing chelating carboxylate ligands have been prepd. and studied. The new com ...

Cancer is currently one of the deadliest diseases worldwide. Based on the high incidence of this disease, the side effects associated with current chemotherapies and the appearance of drug resistance, considerable efforts have been directed towards the dev ...

Metallosupramolecular assemblies of the general formula M2nLn can adopt prismatic or cage‐like structures. The factors controlling the aggregation number n and the geometry of the final assembly are still not fully understood. Here, we describe the synthes ...

[Ru(η6-arene)(pta)(PR3)Cl]BF4 (arene = p-cymene or 4-phenyl-2-butanol; pta = 1,3,5-triaza-7-phosphatricyclo[3.3.1.1]decane, PR3 = PPh2(p-C6H4C2H4C8F17), PPh(p-C6H4C2H4C8F17)2, P(p-C6H4C2H4C6F13)3, PPh3 or P(p-C6H4F)3) were prepd. and characterized by spect ...

The reaction of [(η6-p-cymene)RuCl2]2 with some bis(phosphane) ligands (dppm, dppe, dppv, dppa, dpp14b, dppf) has been investigated. In general mixtures of products were obtained, although the pendant phosphane complexes [( ...

Dinuclear clathrochelate complexes with two, three, four, or five cyano groups in the ligand periphery were prepared following two distinct synthetic strategies: (a) zinc(II)- or cobalt(II)-templated polycondensation reactions of CN-functionalized arylboro ...

A series of tridentate benz- ACHTUNGTRENUNGimidazole-substituted pyridine-2-carboxylic acids have been prepared with a halogen, methyl or alkoxy group in the 6-position of the benzimidazole ring, which additionally contains a solubilising N-alkyl chain. Th ...

A ditopic carbanionic N-heterocyclic carbene was found to react with the inert gas nitrous oxide, resulting in a stable covalent adduct with two intact N2O groups attached to the heterocycle. Mesoionic N-heterocyclic carbenes derived from C2-arylated 1,3-b ...

Cyclopentadienyl-ruthenium half-sandwich complexes with 2-bound alkyne ligands have been suggested as catalytic intermediates in the early stages of Ru-catalyzed reactions with alkynes. We show that electronically unsaturated complexes of the formula [RuCl ...

Two new aminophosphines, benzyl-N(Ph2P)(2) and 2-picolyl-N(Ph2P)(2), have been synthesized. Oxidation of the aminophosphines with either hydrogen peroxide, elemental sulfur and selenium gave the corresponding oxides, sulfides and selenides benzyl-N(Ph2P=E) ...

Oligoynes with two or more conjugated carbon-carbon triple bonds are useful precursors for carbon-rich nanomaterials. However, their range of app0lications has so far been severly limited by the challenging syntheses, particularly in the case of oligoynes ...

The exchange reaction of the trinuclear macrocycles [(C6H3iPr3)Ru(C5H3NO2)]3 (AAA) and [(cymene)Ru(C5H3NO2)]3 (BBB) has been studied. It was found that the equilibration proceeds in two steps and that the final mixture is completely dominated by the mixed- ...
