Ruthenium complexes with bridging dicarboxylate ligands were combined with 1,2-di-4-pyridylethylene (dpe), 2,4,6-tri-4-pyridyltriazine (4-tpt), or 2,4,6-tri-3-pyridyltriazine (3-tpt) to give a tetranuclear rectangle or hexanuclear coordination cages. The c ...

Terminal uranium nitrides have so far proven impossible to isolate by photolysis of azides. Here we report the second ever example of an isolated terminal uranium(VI) nitride. We show that the terminal nitride [NBu4] [U(OSi((OBu)-Bu-t)(3))(4)(N)], 3, can b ...

Triazenes are valuable compounds in organic chemistry and numerous applications have been reported. Furthermore, triazenes have been investigated extensively as potential antitumor drugs. Here, we describe a new method for the synthesis of triazenes. The p ...

Thirteen palladium-ligand assemblies with different structures and topologies were investigated for the ability to bind lithium ions. In one case, the addition of LiBF4 resulted in a profound structural rearrangement, converting a dincluclear [Pd2L4]2 comp ...

The chemical activation of nitrous oxide (N2O) can be achieved by organocalcium, organosodium, and organolithium compounds. Grignard reagents, on the other hand, are believed to be inert. We demonstrate that this generalization is not correct. Some aliphat ...

Rigidtritopic linkers of different sizes were used to buildporous U-(IV) and Th-(IV) 3D frameworks. The charge of the polymerscould be tuned by reaction conditions such as the temperature, pH,solvent, ligand, or metal precursor, yielding a series of neutra ...

Bis-cyclometalated cationic Ir(III) diimine complexes Ir((CN)-N-Lambda)2((NN)-N-Lambda) with 1-phenylpyrazoles ((CN)-N-Lambda) and 1-(4'-tert-butyl-2'-pyridyl) pyrazole ((NN)-N-Lambda) are white solids that have absorption onset below 425 nm and ele ...

A series of half-sandwich pentamethylcyclopentadienyl rhodium(III) and iridium(III) complexes [CpM(DBM/ HDB/AVB)Cl] and [CpM(DBM/HDB/AVB)(PTA)]-[SO3CF3], where Cp* = pentamethylcyclopentadienyl, the proligands DBMH = dibenzoylmethane, HDBH = o-hydroxydi- ...

Complexes with general formula p,t-[Ru(CO)(PR3)(tren)]X-2 [R=Ph (1) or p-tol (2); tren=tris(2-aminoethyl)amine; X=Cl- or PF6-] were prepared from [RuCl2(CO)(dmf)(PR3)] by direct reaction with tren. The complexes were fully characterized by NMR (H-1, P-31{H ...

Solid-state proton conductors based on the use of metal-organic framework (MOF) materials as proton exchange membranes are being investigated as alternatives to the current state of the art. This study reports a new family of proton conductors based on MIL ...

Dinitrogen cleavage provides an attractive but poorly studied route to the assembly of multimetallic nitride clusters. Here, we show that the monoelectron reduction of the dinitrogen complex [{U(OC6H2-Bu-3(t)-2,4,6)(3)}(2)(mu-eta(2):eta(2)-N-2)], 1, allows ...

The facile synthesis of anionic bipyridyl ligands with dinuclear clathrochelate cores is described. These metalloligands can be obtained in high yields by the reactions of M(ClO4)(2)(H2O)(6) (M: Zn, Mn, or Co) with 4-pyridylboronic acid and 2,6-diformyl-4- ...

A library of emission spectra of 90 bis-cyclometallated iridium complexes has been obtained using a simple combinatorial approach performed at room temperature. Trends in emission maxima are rationalized using Hammett parameters and invoking inter ligand e ...

Nitrile-functionalized pyrrolidinium-based ionic liqs. were prepd. and characterized by spectroscopic methods and x-ray crystallog. The application of these new ionic liqs. as reaction media for Suzuki and Stille C-C cross-coupling reactions was studied an ...

We developed a cost-effective spiro-type 4,4 ',4 '',4 '''-(2H,2 ' H,4H,4 ' H-3,3 '-spiro-bi[thieno[3,4-b][1,4] dioxepine]-6,6 ',8,8 '-tetrayl) tetrakis(N,N-bis(4-methoxyphenyl)aniline) hole transporting material (PST1) for perovskite solar cells (PSCs) th ...

Nine 1,3-dichlorobenzene congeners were selected as model compds. to assess the relative rates of proton abstraction from 4- and 5-positions ("ortho" vs. "meta" metalation). Using lithium 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidide as the basic reagent, the chlorine-adj ...

Cationic cyclometalated iridium(III) complexes (N,C-2'-2-phenylpyridyl)(2)Ir((NN)-N-boolean AND) with alkyl-substituted 1-(2'-pyridyl)-pyrazole (NN)-N-boolean AND ligands exhibit green phosphorescence from a cyclometalating-ligand-centered excited s ...

Functionalized imidazolium iodide salts (ionic liquids) modified with -CH2-CH=CH2, -CH2C equivalent to CH, or -CH2C equivalent to N groups are applied as dopants in the synthesis of CH3NH3PbI3-type perovskites together with a fumigation step. Notably, a so ...

Reaction of [Ru6C(CO)16]2− with an excess of AgX (X = Cl, Br or I) affords heteronuclear clusters of formula [{Ru6C(CO)16Ag2X}2]2− in 80% yield, which for X = I and X = ...

Two unsymmetrical ditopic hexadentate ligands designed for the simultaneous recognition of two different trivalent lanthanide ions have been synthesized, LAB2 and LAB3, where A represents a tridentate benzimidazole-pyridinebenzimidazole coordination unit, ...
