Passivation of perovskite films by ionic liquids (ILs)improves the performance (efficiency and stability) of perovskitesolar cells (PSCs). However, the role of ILs in the passivation ofperovskitefilms is not fully understood. Here, we report thereactions o ...

The synthesis, structure, and reactivity of a five-coordinate model complex of [Fe]-hydrogenase are described. The work suggests that the iron center in [Fe]-hydrogenases could be five-coordinate in the resting state. ...

The strongly chelating anionic beta-diketiminate ligand has been employed to formulate complexes involving almost every metal of the periodic table; however, the heavier metals of the d block remain relatively unexplored. This paper describes the synthesis ...

Dicationic ruthenium(II)-p-cymene complexes containing curcumin ligands (curcH = curcumin, bdcurcH = bisdemethoxycurcumin) and ionic N-methyl-1,3,5-triaza-7-phosphaadamantane [PTA-Me]X (X = BF4 or I) have been synthesized and fully characterized for the fi ...

Large macrocycles containing imine and borasiloxane links are obtained in polycondensation reactions of 4-formylbenzeneboronic acid, t-Bu2Si(OH)2, and diamines. The multicomponent reactions can be performed in solution or – advantageously – by mechanochemi ...

A solvent-dependent silyl migration of lithiated biphenyls is described, involving the intermediate formation of a pentacoordinated silicate complex. Differences in the relative basicities of the aryllithium intermediates are the possible driving force for ...

It is possible to control the geometry and the composition of metallasupramolecular assemblies via the aspect ratio of their ligands. This point is demonstrated for a series of iron- and palladium-based coordination cages. Functionalized clathrochelate com ...

Iron-catalyzed hydrogenation has drawn much attention, yet the scope and chemoselectivity of iron catalysis warrant further improvement. Here we report new iron pincer complexes as chemoselective hydrogenation and transfer hydrogenation catalysts. Several ...

The intramolecular [4+2] cycloaddition between arenes and allenes first reported by Himbert gives rapid access to rigid polycyclic scaffolds. Herein, we report a one‐pot oxyalkynylation/cycloaddition reaction proceeding under mild conditions (23–90 °C) and ...

Complexes of uranium(ii) remain extremely rare and their reactivity is practically unexplored. Here we report that the reduction of the heteroleptic bis-aryloxide U(iii) complex [U(κ6-{(tBu2ArO)2Me2-cyclam})I], A, yields a rare and highly reactive U(ii) in ...

A series of half-sandwich cyclopentadienyl rhodium(III) and iridium(III) complexes of the type [CpM(curc/bdcurc) Cl] and [CpM(curc/bdcurc)(PTA)][SO3CF3], in which Cp* = pentamethylcyclopentadienyl, curcH = curcumin and bdcurcH = bisdemethoxycurcumin as O ...

Osmium compounds are attracting increasing attention as potential anticancer drugs. In this context, a series of bifunctional organometallic osmium(II)-p-cymene complexes functionalized with alkyl or perfluoroalkyl groups were prepared and screened for the ...

The behavior toward oxygen sensing of nanocomposites made of the aluminum oxide-hydroxide nanostructured solid support (AP200/19) and neutral blue emitting cyclometalated iridium(III) complexes was studied. The results are compared with the same dyes immob ...

An improved synthesis of pincer ligand bis[(2-dimethylamino)phenyl]amine (MeN2NH) was reported. Reaction of the Li complex of MeN2N with suitable Pd, Pt, and Ru precursors gave the corresponding metal complexes. The structures of the Pd, Pt, and Ru complex ...

The synthesis of the alkoxide [OC(tBu)(CF3)2]− by the reaction of tBuM-reagents (M = Li; MgX) with hexafluoroacetone was attempted. This alkoxide was anticipated to be a good building block for novel weakly coordinating anions. However, in all attempted sy ...

Diazoolefins tend to be highly reactive compounds that rapidly lose dinitrogen. So far, most experimental evidence for diazoolefins is indirect, via trapping experiments. Here we show that diazoolefins are observed to form in reactions of N-heterocyclic ol ...

The bimetallic ruthenium complex [(1,3,5-C6H3i-Pr3)Ru(m-Cl)3RuCl(C2H4)(PCy3)] has been synthesized by reaction of [(1,3,5-C6H3i-Pr3)RuCl2)]2 with one equivalent of PCy3 in the presence of ethylene. It can be used as a catalyst precursor for the controlled ...

The utilization of large ligands in coordination-based self-assembly represents an attractive strategy for the construction of supramolecular assemblies more than two nanometers in size. However, the implementation of this strategy is hampered by the fact ...

Copper-catalyzed direct alkylation of benzoxazoles using nonactivated secondary alkyl halides has been developed. The best catalyst is a new copper(I) complex (1), and the reactions are promoted by bis[2-(N,N-dimethylamino)ethyl] ether. ...

The dimeric ruthenium complex Cp^RuCl2 is easily accessible in a one-pot reaction from RuCl3(solv)(n) and tert-butylacetylene. It features sterically very demanding "Cp-roof" ligands (Cp^ = eta(5)-1-methoxy-2,4-tert-butyl-3-neopentylcyclopentadienyl), ...
