In recent years, the dramatic increase in power conversion efficiency (PCE) coupled with a decrease in the total cost of third-generation solar cells has led to a significant increase in the collaborative research efforts of academic and industrial researc ...

Following pioneering work(1), solution-processable organic-inorganic hybrid perovskites-such as CH3NH3PbX3 (X = Cl, Br, I)-have attracted attention as light-harvesting materials for mesoscopic solar cells(2-15). So far, the perovskite pigment has been depo ...

A new inorganic hole transporting layer, a sputtering made LiCoO2 film, was developed and used in an inverted perovskite solar cell (PSC) and sub-module (PSM). The LiCoO2 film prepared by RF magnetron sputtering is composed of nano-sized particles and a su ...

Herein we report a series of charged iridium complexes emitting from near-UV to red using carbene-based (NC)-C-boolean AND: ancillary ligands. Synthesis, photophysical and electrochemical properties of this series are described in detail together with X-ra ...

New charged cyclometalated iridium(III) complexes Ir(ppy)2(L) [ppy = 2-phenylpyridine; L = bis(pyrazol-1-yl)methane (for 1); L = bis(3,5-dimethylpyrazol-1-yl)methane (for 2)] were synthesized and their electrochemical and photophysical properties st ...

Surface passivation of the perovskite photo absorber is a key factor to improve the photovoltaic performance. So far robust passivation strategies have not yet been revealed. Here, we demonstrate a successful passivation strategy which controls the Fermi-l ...

Ion-coordinating ruthenium complexes [cis-Ru(dcbpy)(L)(NCS)(2), where dcbpy is 4,4'-dicarboxylic acid-2,2'-bipyridine and L is 1,4,7,10-tetraoxa-13-azacyclopentadecane, JK-121, or bis(2-(2-methoxy-ethoxy)ethyl) amine, JK-122] have been synthesized and char ...

CH3NH3PbX3 (MAPbX(3)) perovskites have attracted considerable attention as absorber materials for solar light harvesting, reaching solar to power conversion efficiencies above 20%. In spite of the rapid evolution of the efficiencies, the understanding of b ...

Currently, the full potential of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) is limited by chargecarrier recombination owing to imperfect passivation methods. Here, the recombination loss mechanisms owing to the interfacial energy offset and defects are quantified. The ...

Metal-halide perovskite solar cells have achieved power conversion efficiencies comparable to those of silicon photovoltaic (PV) devices, approaching 27% for single-junction devices. The durability of the devices, however, lags far behind their performance ...

The sequestrant is a substance used to cure bile salt diarrhea. They bind to bile salts by hydrophobic and electrostatic forces to stop them from contact with colon mucosa. The block copolymer could be used as bile salt binding agents. Herein, the physicoc ...

Organic-inorganic perovskite solar cells have achieved an impressive power conversion efficiency of up to 25.6% and 24.8%, respectively, for single and multijunction tandem architectures due to the huge progress made in the rational design and development ...

New sensing films have been developed for the detection of molecular oxygen. These films are based on luminescent Ir(III) dyes incorporated either into polystyrene (with and without plasticizer) or metal oxide, nanostructured material. The preparation and ...

Three benzodipyrrole (BDP)-based organic small molecules with substituted 4-methoxyphenyl (CB-1), 3-fluorophenyl (CB-2), and 3-trifluoromethylphenyl (CB-3) are designed, synthesized, and used as a hole-transporting material (HTM) for perovskite solar cells ...

Following the 1st release of the "Emerging photovoltaic (PV) reports", the best achievements in the performance of emerging photovoltaic devices in diverse emerging photovoltaic research subjects are summarized, as reported in peer-reviewed articles in aca ...

One of the most promising options for decreasing the costs of microalgae production is enhancing the production and reducing the energy demand of the culturing systems and the high surface area requirements. Because microalgae growth requires only specific ...

Cobalt sulphide (CoS) films are potentiodynamically deposited on fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) coated glass substrates employing one, three and five sweep cycles (CoS-I, CoS-III and CoS-V respectively). Analysis of the CoS-III film by impedance spectrosco ...

Applying additives to perovskite precursor solutions is an effective way to passivate perovskite films for the construction of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) with increased power-conversion efficiencies (PCEs) and enhanced stabilities. Ionic liquids (ILs) w ...

Among the several approaches for harnessing solar energy and converting it into electricity, dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSC) represent one of the most promising methods for future large-scale power production from renewable energy sources. In these cells ...

Although ultrahigh power conversion efficiency (PCE) up to 22.7% has been achieved by solution-processable perovskite solar cells (PSCs), there are still some obstacles that hinder the way of this promising photovoltaic technology to its commercialization. ...
