This invention relates to metal complexes, and the use of such complexes as an electro luminescent material. It also relates to a light-emitting device comprising such metal complexes, and to a method for manufacturing such a light-emitting ...

One of the most promising among hole-conducting materials, CuSCN, was prepared for the first time in a form of porous layers for potential applications in inverted perovskite solar cells. ...

A series of subphthalocyanines (SubPcs) bearing a carboxylic acid group either at the peripheral or axial position have been designed and synthesized to investigate the influence of the COOH group positions on the dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) performan ...

Layered Dion-Jacobson (DJ) and Ruddlesden-Popper (RP) hybrid perovskites are promising materials for optoelectronic applications due to their modular structure. To fully exploit their functionality, mechanical stimuli can be used to control their propertie ...

Two unsymmetrical Zn(II) phthalocyanines 1 and 2 bearing an anchoring carboxylic function linked to the phthalocyanine ring through different rigid arylenevinylene bridges have been designed for dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) applications. The phthalocya ...

The present invention relates to a compound of formula (I) based on compound derived from Acceptor-Donor-Acceptor (A-D-A) oligothiophenes based on heteroacene core and used as hole transporting material in a photovoltaic device, in particular in a solid st ...

(Figure Presented) A polytriarylamine-based oligomer is reported as a hole transporting material and its application in solid-state CH3NH3PbI3 based heterojunction solar cells is described. It yields a power conversion efficiency of 12.0% under 99.6 mW cm- ...

Mixed-cation organic lead halide perovskites attract unfaltering attention owing to their excellent photovoltaic properties. Currently, the best performing perovskite materials contain multiple cations and provide power conversion efficiencies up to around ...

We fabricated a perovskite solar cell that uses a double layer of mesoporous TiO2 and ZrO2 as a scaffold infiltrated with perovskite and does not require a hole-conducting layer. The perovskite was produced by drop-casting a solution of PbI2, methylammoniu ...

Layered hybrid perovskites are based on organic spacers separating hybrid perovskite slabs. We employ arene and perfluoroarene moieties based on 1,4-phenylenedimethylammonium (PDMA) and its perfluorinated analogue (F-PDMA) in the assembly of hybrid layered ...

A library of emission spectra of 90 bis-cyclometallated iridium complexes has been obtained using a simple combinatorial approach performed at room temperature. Trends in emission maxima are rationalized using Hammett parameters and invoking inter ligand e ...

Metal sulfide (PbS and CdS) quantum dots (QDs) were prepared over mesoporous TiO2 films by improved successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction (SILAR) processes. The as-prepared QD-sensitized electrodes were combined with a cobalt complex redox couple ...

The cost, stability, and photovoltaic performance of photosensi-tizers play a key role in the commercialization of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSCs). Herein, three novel sensitizers termed ZS10, ZS11, and ZS12 are described based on the simple chemical str ...

Multiple exciton generation (MEG) or carrier multiplication, a process that spawns two or more electron-hole pairs from an absorbed high-energy photon (larger than two times bandgap energy E-g, is a promising way to augment the photocurrent and overcome th ...

Achieving industrial electrochemical CO2 reduction necessitates the strategic design of electrocatalysts with high activity, superior selectivity, and excellent stability. Herein, we developed spatially dispersed copper nanocrystals supported by polyanilin ...

Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) cannot be developed without the research on sensitizers. As the key of light harvesting and electron generation, thousands of sensitizers have been designed for the application in DSSC devices. Among them, organic sensiti ...

A catalyst having a mixture of Ru and RuOx, wherein x is greater than 0 and equal to or less than 2, supported by a suitable metal oxide support material is suitable for the heterogeneous catalytic gas phase direct methane production from hydrogen and carbon dioxide at mild temperatures as low as 25 DEG C. and atmospheric pressure. Photo-methanation using such catalysts having photoexcitable support materials significantly increases the rate of methane production and the methane yield, yielding almost stoic

Three-dimensional (3D) perovskite materials display remarkable potential in photovoltaics owing to their superior solar-to-electric power conversion efficiency, with current efforts focused on improving stability. Two-dimensional (2D) perovskite analogues ...

Two-dimensional (2D) hybrid perovskite solar cells have induced widespread research interest owing to their higher stability as compared to three-dimensional (3D) analogues. The photovoltaic performance, however, is still limited. Here, we report a perovsk ...

Organic materials can tune the optical properties in layered (2D) hybrid perovskites, although their impact on photophysics is often overlooked. Here, we use transient absorption spectroscopy to probe the Dion−Jacobson (DJ) and Ruddlesden−Popper (RP) 2D pe ...
