The creation of a universal quantum computer that can solve complex problems beyond the reach of classical computers - the so-called "quantum supremacy" - is an open challenge. For this to become a reality, a large number of qubits should be integrated in ...

Landau–Zener–Stückelberg–Majorana (LZSM) interference occurs when qubit parameters are periodically modulated across avoided level crossings. We explore this phenomenon in nonlinear multilevel bosonic systems, where interference is influenced by multiple e ...

The rise of electron spin qubit architectures for quantum computing processors has led to a strong interest in designing and integrating ferromagnets to induce stray magnetic fields for electron dipole spin resonance (EDSR). The integration of nanomagnets ...

Variational quantum computing offers a flexible computational approach with a broad range of applications. However, a key obstacle to realizing their potential is the barren plateau (BP) phenomenon. When a model exhibits a BP, its parameter optimization la ...

Spin excitations play a fundamental role in understanding magnetic properties of materials, and have significant technological implications for magnonic devices. However, accurately modeling these in transition-metal and rare-earth compounds remains a form ...

Quantum computers have demonstrable ability to solve problems at a scale beyond brute-force classical simulation. Interest in quantum algorithms has developed in many areas, particularly in relation to mathematical optimization - a broad field with links t ...

Spin-orbit coupling in noncentrosymmetric crystals leads to spin-momentum locking - a directional relationship between an electron's spin angular momentum and its linear momentum. Isotropic orthogonal Rashba spin-momentum locking has been studied for decad ...

The strong anharmonicity and high coherence times inherent to fluxonium superconducting circuits are beneficial for quantum information processing. In addition to requiring high-quality physical qubits, a quantum processor needs to be assembled in a manner ...

Many-body systems at low temperature have revealed non-trivial phases of materials, such as spin liquids, which have found applications in the evolving fields of superconductivity, nanoelectronics, and quantum computing. Their exponentially large state spa ...

Decoherence of a charge qubit is usually credited to charge noise in the environment. Here we show that charge noise may not be the limiting factor for the qubit coherence. To this end, we study coherence properties of a crystal-phase defined semiconductor ...
