Online learning is an important aspect of higher education today. One-third of college students take at least one course online, and almost 70% of chief academic leaders say that online learning is critical to their long-term strategy. Despite the success and growth of online education, the number of courses that currently offer a hands-on laboratory component is extremely limited, resulting in the lack of an entire category of engineering courses.
