We demonstrate the potential of Euclid’s slitless spectroscopy to discover high-redshift (z > 5) quasars and their main photometric contaminant, ultracool dwarfs. Sensitive infrared spectroscopy from space is able to efficiently identify both population ...

Amorphous formulations are increasingly used in the pharmaceutical industry due to their increased solubility, but their structural characterization at atomic-level resolution remains extremely challenging. Here, we characterize the complete atomic-level s ...

In situ investigation of the surface composition of catalyst particles improves the understanding of the active species in heterogeneous catalysis. This study analyzed the surface chemistry of ruthenium nanoparticles supported on alumina during CO2 methana ...

The Wacker oxidation is a powerful synthetic method widely employed for the transformation of monosubstituted alkenes into methyl ketones. Its substrate scope has progressively expanded to include internal disubstituted and, more recently, gem‐disubstitute ...

Cadmium, lead, and the nitrate (NO3-) ions rank among the most hazardous water pollutants. Natural sources of these species include cadmium and lead nitrates, which are highly soluble in water. Experimental data on the corresponding aqueous solutions are s ...

Improving the kinetics and selectivity of CO2/CO electroreduction to valuable multi-carbon products is a challenge for science and is a requirement for practical relevance. Here we develop a thiol-modified surface ligand strategy that promotes electrochemi ...

Atomically precise hydrogen desorption lithography using scanning tunnelling microscopy (STM) has enabled the development of single-atom, quantum-electronic devices on a laboratory scale. Scaling up this technology to mass-produce these devices requires br ...

This dataset accompanies the publication "Quantum-mechanical effects in photoluminescence from thin crystalline gold films" published in Light: Science & Applications (https://doi.org/10.1038/s41377-024-01408-2). The data can be used to reproduce plots 1-4 ...

The OER involves a four-electron transfer and is a kinetically sluggish reaction that requires additional potential to drive. To enhance the electrochemical performance of the above-mentioned applications, highly efficient, corrosion-resistant, earth-abund ...

Localized electronic spins in solid-state environments form versatile and robust platforms for quantum sensing, metrology and quantum information processing. With optically detected magnetic resonance (ODMR), it is possible to prepare and readout highly co ...

In this work, for the first time, naphthalene (NA)-based polymers were synthesized by one-stage Friedel-Crafts crosslinking. The influence of NA functionalization by -OH, -SO3H, and -NO2 groups on the polymers' porosity and distribution of the catalyticall ...
