In the field of UAV object tracking, correlation filter based approaches have received lots of attention due to their computational efficiency. The methods learn filters by the ridge regression and generate response maps to distinguish the specified target ...

Objective: In this paper, a new vibrational modal analysis technique was developed for intraoperative cementless prosthesis fixation evaluation upon hammering. Methods: An artificial bone (Sawbones)-prosthesis system was excited by sweeping of a sine signa ...

Binary dielectric metasurfaces are arrays of sub-wavelength structures that act as a thin layer of artificial material. They are generally lossless and relatively simple to fabricate since only a single structuring step is required. By carefully designing ...

The emergence of Big Data has enabled new research perspectives in the discrete choice community. While the techniques to estimate Machine Learning models on a massive amount of data are well established, these have not yet been fully explored for the esti ...

In this article, we are interested in adaptive and distributed estimation of graph filters from streaming data. We formulate this problem as a consensus estimation problem over graphs, which can be addressed with diffusion LMS strategies. Most popular grap ...

The use of LCL filters is a well-accepted solution to attenuate the harmonics created by the pulsewidth modulation. However, inherently LCL filters have a resonance region where the unwanted harmonics are amplified, which can compromise stability. Several ...

Though deep learning (DL) algorithms are very powerful for image processing tasks, they generally require a lot of data to reach their full potential. Furthermore, there is no straightforward way to impose various properties, given by the prior knowledge a ...

Molecular and macromolecular structure analysis by high resolution and accurate mass spectrometry (MS) is indispensable for a number of fundamental and applied research areas, including health and energy domains. Comprehensive structure analysis of molecul ...

Early tokamaks with circular cross-section plasmas were vertically stable in nature and no problems were reported on the control of the vertical position. However, the concept of vertically elongated plasma cross-section, with benefits to the energy confin ...

We present an optofluidic chip with integrated polymer interferometers for measuring both the microfluidic air pressure and flow rate. The chip contains a microfluidic circuit and optical cavities on a polymer which was defined by soft lithography. The pre ...
