Cyclopropanes have emerged as powerful C3 building blocks in organic synthesis. Cyclopropanes serve as precursors to generate reactive intermediates in various total syntheses of natural products and bioactive molecules. Several strategies have been develo ...

We introduce a new approach to defect engineering in Zr-based metal-organic frameworks (Zr-MOFs), aiming to reduce Zr site valency while preserving high node connectivity. Using a rapid heat treatment (RHT) in humid air, oxygen vacancies (O-vacancies) were ...

In Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells (PEMFCs), the presence of residual water within the Gas Diffusion Layer (GDL) poses challenges during cold starts and accelerates degradation. A computational model based on the Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM) was deve ...

Pt(II)-based molecular catalysts stand as a prototypical system in hydrogen evolution reactions (HER) owing to their consistently elevated activity levels. Their integration into heterogeneous systems thus provides an ideal platform to develop catalytic ma ...

The effect of the simultaneous presence of fluoride (0.15-1.2 mg L-1), bicarbonates (83.6-596 mg L-1), and synthesized goethite (0.3 mg L-1) at typical concentrations often found in groundwater samples was evaluated on the degradation of 2,4-dichlorophenox ...

Satellite-based retrievals of tropospheric NO(2)columns are widely used to infer NOx (equivalent to NO + NO2) emissions. These retrievals rely on model information for the vertical distribution of NO2. The free tropospheric background above 2 km is particu ...

High energy density micro-supercapacitors (MSCs) are in high demand for miniaturized electronics and microsystems. Research efforts today focus on materials development, applied in the planar interdigitated, symmetric electrode architecture. A novel "cup & ...

Herein, novel carbons that, owing to a high density of micropores (up to 79%) and N-content (up to 14.9%), offering exciting potential for post-combustion CO2 capture are reported. Given that little is known about how starting materials impact the structur ...

Biofuels are considered as viable, sustainable and renewable alternatives to fossil fuels. One amongst them is biomethane which has emerged as one of the valuable contributors in facilitating the essential transition towards green energy sources. Industria ...

We reveal that a significant amount (>30%) of the liquid products from electrochemical CO2 reduction (CO2RR) in a flow reactor can cross the gas diffusion electrode (GDE) and anion exchange membrane (AEM). Crossover of volatile products through the GDE occ ...

Metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) are highly versatile materials owing to their vast structural and chemical tunability. These hybrid inorganic–organic crystalline materials offer an ideal platform to incorporate light‐harvesting and catalytic centers and th ...

The thermal spin crossover (SCO) phenomenon refers to an entropy-driven spin transition in some materials based on d(6)-d(9) transition metal complexes. While its molecular origin is well known, intricate SCO behaviours are increasingly common, in which th ...
