To achieve resource-efficient hardware designs, high-level synthesis (HLS) tools share (i.e., time-multiplex) functional units among operations of the same type. This optimization is typically performed in conjunction with operation scheduling to ensure th ...

The ever-growing global internet traffic has increased demand for higher speed data transmission. As the bandwidth requirements of wireline links increase, extensive digital equalization techniques are required to compensate for the high-frequency channel ...

This article presents a two-times interleaved, loop-unrolled SAR analog-to-digital converter (ADC) operational from 300 down to 4.2 K. The 6-8-bit resolution and the sampling speed up to 1 GS/s are targeted at digitizing the multi-channel frequency-multipl ...

Walsh-Hadamard based orthogonal sampling of signals is studied in this paper, and an application of this technique is presented. Using orthogonal sampling, a single analog-to-digital converter (ADC) only is sufficient to perform parallel (simultaneous) rec ...

The response of simple plasmonic nanorods to polarized illumination is studied in detail. Depending on the orientation of that polarization with respect to the symmetry axes of the nanostructure, a chiral response can occur, which can be analyzed through a ...
