This research presents a discrete-time transmission line model based on the propagation of travelling waves. In this approach, the transmission line is emulated by means of many interconnected unit delay cells implemented with switched-capacitor (SC) circu ...

The increase in the popularity of the medium voltage dc (MVDC) electrical distribution, as a possible evolution of the medium voltage ac (MVAC) electrical distribution for the ship on-board power systems, arises a need for a comparative evaluation and demo ...

Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) have been indispensable components of embedded systems and datacenter infrastructures. However, energy efficiency of FPGAs has become a hard barrier preventing their expansion to more application contexts, due to two ...

Junctions between n-type semiconductors of different electron affinity show rectification if the junction is abrupt enough. With the advent of 2D materials, we are able to realize thin van der Waals (vdW) heterostructures based on a large diversity of mate ...

An input-series/output-series converter dedicated to high power applications is presented. The converter is composed of plural MF transformers based on DC-DC sub-converters. The series connection allows reaching input-voltage levels in the range of several ...

A new isolated DC-DC converter is presented suited for high voltage applications. It is based on the series connection of NPC inverter cells, using semiconductor devices with lower voltage blocking capability than the total input voltage. The galvanic isol ...

In this work, a complete passive UHF RFID system for capacitive sensing applications is developed to be used in food quality monitoring and supply chain management. All the components of the RFID system including the base station, the base station antenna, ...

The electronics industry is present nowadays in the most various applications. A new type of technology for integrated circuits named BCD has started to be developed and appeared from the mid 1980’s. This new technology allows integrating bipolar transisto ...
