The 2D/3D or 2D/quasi-2D composite mixed-dimensional construction of hybrid perovskite interfaces is gaining increasing attention due to their enhanced stability toward degradation without compromising the corresponding solar cell efficiency. Much of this ...

The rapid crystallization of mixed tin‐lead (Sn‐Pb) perovskites and their dependence on antisolvent processes limit the development of large‐area Sn‐Pb perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Vacuum‐flash‐assisted solution processing (VASP) has emerged as a promisi ...

Mixed Sn-Pb perovskites are attracting significant attention due to their narrow bandgap and consequent potential for all-perovskite tandem solar cells. However, the conventional hole transport materials can lead to band misalignment or induce degradation ...

Cesium-formamidinium lead iodide (CsxFA1-xPbI3) perovskites are a promising methylammonium-free alternative for efficient single-junction solar cells. However, they have not been fully explored by vapor-phase deposition techniques. Herein, a template-assis ...

Polycrystalline perovskite light-emitting diodes (PeLEDs) have shown great promise with high efficiency and easy processability. However, PeLEDs using single-cation polycrystalline perovskite emitters have demonstrated low efficiency due to defects within ...

Despite well‐matching indoor illumination spectra, the performance of wide bandgap perovskite solar cells (WB‐PSCs) for indoor photovoltaics (i‐PV) is hindered by photo‐induced halide phase segregation and trap‐assisted non‐radiative recombination. Herein, ...

We report a facile method to enhance the photoelectrochemical (PEC) performance of Sb2Se3 photocathodes by controlling the growth of bilayer Sb2Se3 consisting of vertically oriented nanorods on a compact Sb2Se3 layer. Sb2Se3 thin films with controllable na ...

Far-UVC light sources in the spectral range of200-230 nm effectively kill bacteria and deactivate viruses while being not harmful to health, enabling persistent disinfection of air and surfaces in the presence of humans. So far only excimer lamps have been ...

Polymeric hole-selective materials (P-HSMs) offer advantages like solution processability, tunable energy levels, and improved mechanical stability, making them suitable for large-scale and flexible substrates. Poly[bis(4-phenyl) (2,4,6-trimethylphenyl) am ...

Efficient and robust n-i-p perovskite solar cells necessitate superior organic hole-transport materials with both mechanical and electronic prowess. Deciphering the structure-property relationship of these materials is crucial for practical perovskite sola ...

The stabilization of grain boundaries and surfaces of the perovskite layer is critical to extend the durability of perovskite solar cells. Here we introduced a sulfonium-based molecule, dimethylphenethylsulfonium iodide (DMPESI), for the post-deposition tr ...

The technique of alloying FA+ with Cs+ is often used to promote structural stabilization of the desirable alpha-FAPbI3 phase in halide perovskite devices. However, the precise mechanisms by which these alloying approaches improve the optoelectronic quality ...

With the advent of ChatGPT, natural language processing (NLP) models have gained tremendous interest from the research community and have been applied to a plethora of scientific domains like batteries, pharmaceuticals, recycling plastics, etc., to obtain ...

Bandgap-tuneable mixed-halide 3D perovskites are of interest for multi-junction solar cells, but suffer from photoinduced spatial halide segregation. Mixed-halide 2D perovskites are more resistant to halide segregation and are promising coatings for 3D per ...

In this work, we provide a mechanistic understanding of the degradation of perovskite solar cells in operation by focusing on methylammonium lead triiodide (CH3NH3PbI3 or MAPbI3) and tracking the evolution of electronic defects via photo-induced current tr ...

In this work we study in-depth the antireflection and filtering properties of ultrathin-metal-film-based transparent electrodes (MTEs) integrated in thin-film solar cells. Based on numerical optimization of the MTE design and the experimental characterizat ...

High-throughput testing of photoelectrochemical cells and materials under well-defined operating conditions can accelerate the discovery of new semiconducting materials, the characterization of the phenomena occurring at the semiconductor-electrolyte inter ...

A widely used component of high-efficiency perovskite solar cells (PSCs) is the molecular hole-transport material (HTM) spiro-OMeTAD. This organic solid needs to be p-doped to acquire sufficient hole conductivity. However, the conventional doping method us ...

As the demand for photovoltaic technologies continues to grow, the quest for efficient and sustainable transparent conducting electrodes (TCEs) rapidly rises. Traditional solutions, such as indium tin oxide (ITO), face challenges related to indium scarcity ...

Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) offer an attractive solution to increase the efficiency of PV panels via perovskite/silicon tandems thanks to their potential cost-effectiveness and high efficiency. In inverted PSC architecture (p-i-n), commonly used hole con ...
