Cancer drug resistance remains a critical challenge in oncology, demanding rapid and reliable diagnostic tools to assess tumor cell susceptibility to treatment. This study presents a nanomotion-based drug susceptibility testing (DST) approach, integrating ...

The conversion of metal nitrides to NH3 is an essential step in dinitrogen fixation, but there is limited knowledge of the reactivity of nitrides with protons (H+). Herein, we report comparative studies for the reactions of H+ and NH3 with uranium nitrides ...

Well-defined diazotates are scarce. Here we report the synthesis of unprecedented homoleptic palladium(II) diazotate complexes. The palladium(II)-mediated nitrosylation of 2-aminopyridines with NaNO2 results in the formation of metal-stabilized diazotates, ...

The reactions of Pt-3n(CO)(6n) (n = 2-5) homoleptic Chini-type clusters with increasing amounts of 1,3,5-triaza-7-phosphaadamantane (PTA) result in the stepwise substitution of one terminal CO ligand per Pt-3 triangular unit up to the formation of [P ...

Following the identification of a ruthenium(II)-arene complex with an ethacrynic acid-modified imidazole ligand, which inhibits glutathione transferase (GST) and is cytotoxic to chemo-resistant cancer cells, a series of structurally related ruthenium(II)- ...

The orphan nuclear receptor, liver receptor homolog-1 (aka Nuclear receptor subfamily 5, Group A, Member 2 (Nr5a2)), is widely expressed in mammalian tissues, and its ovarian expression is restricted to granulosa cells of activated follicles. We employed t ...

Compounds that combine metal-based drugs with covalently linked targeted organic agents have been shown, in some instances, to exhibit superior anticancer properties compared to the individual counterparts. Within this framework, we prepared a series of or ...

Four arene osmium complexes were prepared containing derivatives of ethacrynic acid, a potent inhibitor of glutathione Stransferases, either by direct coordination or via N- or P-donor ligands. The complexes were characterized by spectroscopic and analytic ...
