Polycrystalline perovskite light-emitting diodes (PeLEDs) have shown great promise with high efficiency and easy processability. However, PeLEDs using single-cation polycrystalline perovskite emitters have demonstrated low efficiency due to defects within ...

Controlling the light emitted by individual molecules is instrumental to a number of advanced nanotechnologies ranging from super-resolution bioimaging and molecular sensing to quantum nanophotonics. Molecular emission can be tailored by modifying the loca ...

Despite well‐matching indoor illumination spectra, the performance of wide bandgap perovskite solar cells (WB‐PSCs) for indoor photovoltaics (i‐PV) is hindered by photo‐induced halide phase segregation and trap‐assisted non‐radiative recombination. Herein, ...

The 2D/3D or 2D/quasi-2D composite mixed-dimensional construction of hybrid perovskite interfaces is gaining increasing attention due to their enhanced stability toward degradation without compromising the corresponding solar cell efficiency. Much of this ...

In this work we study in-depth the antireflection and filtering properties of ultrathin-metal-film-based transparent electrodes (MTEs) integrated in thin-film solar cells. Based on numerical optimization of the MTE design and the experimental characterizat ...

Spatially resolved photoluminescence (PL) and electroluminescence (EL) imaging technologies play a crucial role in evaluating the performance and stability of photovoltaic devices. However, their application in perovskite devices presents unique challenges ...

The utilization of MHPs in optoelectronics has surged over the past decade due to their favorable properties such as direct band gaps, a large JDOS near the band edge resulting in strong optical absorption, and high defect tolerance allowing operation clos ...

The fabrication of high-performance perovskite solar cells on high-haze fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) substrates with superior light-trapping capabilities necessitates a highly conformal electron transport layer at the bottom interface. Herein, a conforma ...

As the demand for photovoltaic technologies continues to grow, the quest for efficient and sustainable transparent conducting electrodes (TCEs) rapidly rises. Traditional solutions, such as indium tin oxide (ITO), face challenges related to indium scarcity ...

Recombination at metal/semiconductor interfaces represents the main limitation in mainstream c-Si solar cells, primarily based on the passivated emitter and rear cell (PERC) concept. Full-area passivating contacts based on SiOx/poly-Si stacks are a candida ...

Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have received a remarkable attention compared to the other types of solar cells due to their high carrier mobility, low recombination rate, and rapid increase in terms of efficiency in short time. However, two essential parame ...

High light-quality and low color temperature are two crucial factors for a comfortable healthy illumination. Phosphor-converted white light-emitting diodes (LEDs) could be readily realized by combining near-UV (380-420 nm) LED chips with tri-color phosphor ...

Perovskite light-emitting diodes (PeLEDs) based on three-dimensional (3D) polycrystalline perovskites suffer from ion migration, which causes overshoot of luminance over time during operation and reduces its operational lifetime. Here, we demonstrate 3D/2D ...

Modeling of optoelectronic devices involves long and complex numerical simulations, usually performed with TCAD tools. Numerical simulations provide accurate results for a single device but are not feasible when dealing with a full circuit comprising sever ...

This paper studies the applicability of sputtered Molybdenum (Mo) thin films on silicon wafers (Mo-Si) to act as contact substrates for vertically structured Si quantum-dot (QD) solar cells. The compatibility of Mo-Si contact substrate with Si QD material ...

Only recently organic light-emitting diode (OLED) technology has successfully managed the transition from research labs into the consumer market, taking a 60% share of the global mobile display market in 2018. The latest discovery of thermally activated de ...

Two types of near-UV light-emitting diodes (LEDs) with an InGaN/GaN single quantum well (QW) differing only in the presence or absence of an underlayer (UL) consisting of an InAlN/GaN superlattice (SL) were examined. The InAlN-based ULs were previously sho ...
