Cesium-formamidinium lead iodide (CsxFA1-xPbI3) perovskites are a promising methylammonium-free alternative for efficient single-junction solar cells. However, they have not been fully explored by vapor-phase deposition techniques. Herein, a template-assis ...

The 2D/3D or 2D/quasi-2D composite mixed-dimensional construction of hybrid perovskite interfaces is gaining increasing attention due to their enhanced stability toward degradation without compromising the corresponding solar cell efficiency. Much of this ...

Polycrystalline perovskite light-emitting diodes (PeLEDs) have shown great promise with high efficiency and easy processability. However, PeLEDs using single-cation polycrystalline perovskite emitters have demonstrated low efficiency due to defects within ...

Mixed Sn-Pb perovskites are attracting significant attention due to their narrow bandgap and consequent potential for all-perovskite tandem solar cells. However, the conventional hole transport materials can lead to band misalignment or induce degradation ...

The rapid crystallization of mixed tin‐lead (Sn‐Pb) perovskites and their dependence on antisolvent processes limit the development of large‐area Sn‐Pb perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Vacuum‐flash‐assisted solution processing (VASP) has emerged as a promisi ...

In the past decades, a significant increase of the transistor density on a chip has led to exponential growth in computational power driven by Moore's law. To overcome the bottleneck of traditional von-Neumann architecture in computational efficiency, effo ...

Experiments on the intrinsic stress in immiscible Cu/W nanomultilayers (NMLs) show two unusual features: a compressive-to-tensile transition as a function of NML deposition conditions and extremely high interface stresses under both high- and low-pressure ...

A widely used component of high-efficiency perovskite solar cells (PSCs) is the molecular hole-transport material (HTM) spiro-OMeTAD. This organic solid needs to be p-doped to acquire sufficient hole conductivity. However, the conventional doping method us ...

Despite well‐matching indoor illumination spectra, the performance of wide bandgap perovskite solar cells (WB‐PSCs) for indoor photovoltaics (i‐PV) is hindered by photo‐induced halide phase segregation and trap‐assisted non‐radiative recombination. Herein, ...

Curcuminoids and their complexes continue to attract attention in medicinal chemistry, but little attention has been given to their metabolic derivatives. Here, the first examples of (arene)Ru(II) complexes with curcuminoid metabolites, tetrahydrocurcumin ...

The production of single-layer polymer ribbons and sheets composed of fused porphyrin rings, named porphene, an analog to graphene, has been aimed over the years as a promising material for applications. Several attempts to polymerize porphyrin rings have ...

Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells in the solid tumor microenvironment enter a partially dysfunctional state called T cell exhaustion. Interleukin (IL)-10-producing CAR T cells retain their metabolic fitness, resist T cell exhaustion and display unpre ...

Integrating unconventional HfO2-based ferroelectrics in thin film transistors (TFTs) has proven effective in enhancing performance by stabilizing negative capacitance (NC). This is achieved by incorporating the ferroelectric in series with a high-permittiv ...

Traditional cell cultures have long been fundamental to biological research, offering an alternative to animal models burdened by ethical constraints and procedural intricacies, often lacking relevance to human physiology and disease. Moreover, their inabi ...

We report a facile method to enhance the photoelectrochemical (PEC) performance of Sb2Se3 photocathodes by controlling the growth of bilayer Sb2Se3 consisting of vertically oriented nanorods on a compact Sb2Se3 layer. Sb2Se3 thin films with controllable na ...

Atomic layer deposition (ALD) is a method to grow thin metal oxide layers on a variety of materials for applications spanning from electronics to catalysis. Extending ALD to colloidally stable nanocrystals promises to combine the benefits of thin metal oxi ...

Cells are the smallest operational units of living systems. Through synthesis of various biomolecules and exchange of signals with the environment, cells tightly regulate their composition to realize a specific functional state. The transformation of a cel ...

To optimize material stability, automated high-throughput workflows are of increasing interest. However, many of those workflows either employ synthesis techniques not suitable for large-area depositions or are carried out in ambient conditions, which limi ...

Communication between the intestine and other organs such as the lungs, brain or bones is mediated by several metabolites, like short-chain fatty acids or bile acids, that relay information about nutritional and microbiota status. Bile acids are endogenous ...

Selective area epitaxy (SAE), applied to semiconductor growth, allows tailored fabrication of intricate structures at the nanoscale with enhanced properties and functionalities. In the field of nanowires (NWs), it adds scalability by enabling the fabricati ...
