Herein, a fluoropolymer bifunctional solid membrane interface (SMI) for an aqueous Al-air battery is proposed, which inhibits anodic self-corrosion, while concurrently reducing the accumulation of undesirable by-products. A battery using the SMI exhibits a ...

We demonstrate that the kinetics of the Sabatier reaction catalysed by sorption catalysts depends on the nanostructure of the catalyst-sorbent system. The catalysts are prepared by ion exchange of a nickel nitrate solution in two zeolites with different po ...

The present relates to a chemical reactor comprising a catalyst bed enclosed in a reactor vessel and at least one cooling tube placed in the reactor vessel and passing through the catalyst bed, characterized in that the cooling tubes are disposed within th ...

Nanoparticles (NPs) have wide applications in physical and chemical processes, and their individual properties (e.g., shape, size, and composition) and ensemble properties (e.g., distribution and homogeneity) can significantly affect the performance. Howev ...

For different hydrogenated metal intercalated fullerides (Na10C60-H, Li12C60-H, and Li28C60-H) the activation energies for hydrogen desorption were determined by DSC. The Vyazovkin advanced method (VA) was used for the calculation of the reaction model fre ...

Thermo-catalytic conversion of CO2 into more valuable compounds, such as methane, is an attractive strategy for energy storage in chemical bonds and creating a carbon-based circular economy. However, designing heterogeneous catalysts remains a challenging, ...

Liquid complex hydrides are a new class of hydrogen storage materials with several advantages over solid hydrides, e.g. they are flexible in shape, they are a flowing fluid and their convective properties facilitate heat transport. The physical and chemica ...

The present relates to a sample holder comprising a single block (1) made of a thermally conductive material comprising at least two volumes, a reference volume (5) and a sample holding volume (4) directly machined in said single block (1), a heating means ...

This communication presents a novel and solvent-free method to synthesise Mg(B3H8)(2) via the gas-solid reaction between B2H6 and Mg2NiH4, which overcomes the limitations of wet chemical methods requiring solvent removal. ...

A conductive or semi-conductive cluster essentially comprises or consists of a first-type material, wherein the first-type material comprises a number of surface atoms that is at least half of a number of total atoms of the first-type material, and wherein ...

The present relates to a Metal hydride compressor control method for generating a variable output pressure P_desired_outPut, comprising a first step of inflowing gaseous hydrogen into a metal hydride compartment at a constant temperature and then stopping ...

Benefiting from the effective catalytic effect of the TiCrMnFeZr HEA and the protective effect of MgH2, the MgH2-40 wt% TiCrMnFeZr composite exhibits superior hydrogen sorption in two steps. ...

A pyrene-based metal-organic framework (MOF) SION-8 captured iodine (I-2) vapor with a capacity of 460 and 250 mg g(MOF)(-1) at room temperature and 75 degrees C, respectively. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis and van-der-Waals-corrected density f ...
