Three hole-transporting materials (HTMs) were prepared following a straightforward synthetic route by cross-linking arylamine-based ligands with a simple thieno[3,2-b]thiophene (TbT) core. The novel HTMs were fully characterized with standard techniques to ...

Here we use triple-cation metal-organic halide perovskite single crystals for the transistor channel of a flash memory device. Moreover, we design and demonstrate a 10 nm thick single-layer nanofloating gate. It consists of a ternary blend of two organic s ...

Phthalocyanines (Pcs) are robust and intensely colored macrocycles (blue pigments) with high chemical, thermal and light stability, properties that are of paramount importance for realistic photovoltaic applications. In particular, Pcs have played a very i ...

Fused oligothiophene-based pi-conjugated organic derivatives have been widely used in electronic devices. In particular, two-dimensional (2D) heteroarenes offer the possibility of broadening the scope by extending the pi-conjugated framework, which endows ...

Vacancy-ordered double perovskites is a new branch of lead-free halide perovskites with properties promising for photovoltaic application. In this study, data about the crystal structure of 170 known A(2)BX(6) (X = I, Br, Cl, F) are collected and analyzed ...

To achieve both high efficiency and long-term stability of perovskite solar cells (PSCs), it is effective to use a perovskite layer in which a low-dimensional perovskite layer is stacked on a 3D perovskite layer. However, the guidelines for the effective s ...

A general and straightforward way of preparing few-nanometer-sized well-separated MAPbI(x)Br(3-x) (MA=methylammonium) perovskite photosensitizers on the surface of an approximately 1 mu m thick mesoporous TiO2 photoanode was suggested through a two-step se ...

Organic-inorganic lead halide perovskite absorbers in combination with electron and hole transporting selective contacts result in power conversion efficiencies of over 23% under AM 1.5 sun conditions. The advantage of perovskite solar cells is their simpl ...

Perovskite solar cells have set a new milestone in terms of efficiencies in the thin film photovoltaics category. Long-term stability of perovskite solar cells is of paramount importance but remains a challenging task. The lack of perovskite solar cells st ...

Modified NiOx nanoparticles (NPs) developed via surface engineering are applied to a hole transport layer (HTL) in n-i-p-structured perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Hexanoic acid (HA) as a surfactant improves the dispersibility of NiOx NPs in chlorobenzene ( ...

The invention discloses a polymerizable triazatruxene-based compound of formula (I), an optoelectronic and/or photoelectrochemical device comprising said compound of formula (I) as hole transporting material in hole transport layer under the form of a poly ...

Surface plasmon polaritons can confine electromagnetic fields in subwavelength spaces and are of interest for photonics, optical data storage devices and biosensing applications. In analogy to photons, they exhibit wave-particle duality, whose different as ...

Nanometer-sized PbI2 particles were deposited over mesoporous TiO2 film by spin-coating and tested as a photosensitizer. The as-prepared PbI2-sensitized solar cell gave overall power conversion efficiency of 1.41% which was almost four times better than a ...

Organic-inorganic metal halide perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have achieved certified power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 25.2% with complex compositional and bandgap engineering. However, the thermal instability of methylammonium (MA) cation can cause the ...

Drift-diffusion modeling of the ionic dipole switching from the measurement of fast scanned and long pre-biased electrical response is proposed as a novel protocol for evaluation of limit hysteretic effects in perovskite solar cells. Up to eight systems we ...

This study presents a systematic review of the literature pertaining to dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs), in order to anticipate the direction and speed of change in technology trend. To study the general progression in DSSC research, we have assessed th ...

Nanoscale CH3NH3PbI3 perovskite sensitizers are grown by delivering each precursor successively onto the surface of mesoporous (meso) TiO2 electrodes. Using Pb(NO3)(2) ions as a lead(II) source and CH3NH3I (MAI) for methylammonium and iodide sources, repet ...

We report the synthesis and characterization of nanocrystals of a novel fully inorganic lead-free zero-dimensional perovskite, Cs4SnBr6. Samples are made of crystals with an average size of similar to 20 nm with green emission centered around 530 nm. Inter ...

We report synthesis and characterization of novel hole-transport materials (HTMs) with substituents, methylsulfonyl, N,N-dimethylamino or methoxy groups, introduced onto the N of the carbazole unit of carbazole-arylamine and their application in perovskite ...

Vertically oriented 2D perovskites exhibit promising optoelectronic properties and intrinsic stability, but their photovoltaic application is still limited by the low power conversion efficiency (PCE) compared to 3D analogs. Here, a new crystallization pat ...
