As perovskite solar cells (PSCs) are highly efficient, demonstration of high-performance printed devices becomes important. 2D/3D heterostructures have recently emerged as an attractive way to relieving the film inhomogeneity and instability in perovskite ...

Three novel donor-pi-bridge-donor (D-pi-D) hole-transporting materials (HTMs) featuring triazatruxene electron-donating units bridged by different 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene (EDOT) pi-conjugated linkers have been synthesized, characterized, and implemented ...

Over the past decade, remarkable progress has advanced the field of perovskite solar cells to the forefront of thin film solar technologies. The stoichiometry of the perovskite material is of paramount importance as it determines the optoelectronic propert ...

Despite the excellent photovoltaic properties achieved by perovskite solar cells at the laboratory scale, hybrid perovskites decompose in the presence of air, especially at high temperatures and in humid environments. Consequently, high-efficiency perovski ...

The emerging 2D perovskites exhibit superior stability and similar optoelectronic attributes compared to the 3D analogues, but their strong exciton-binding energy and inferior interlayer charge-transport reduce dramatically the device performance. Herein, ...

The unfavorable morphology and inefficient utilization of phase transition reversibility have limited the high-temperature-processed inorganic perovskite films in both efficiency and stability. Here, a simple soft template-controlled growth (STCG) method i ...

The emerging inorganic CsPbI(3)perovskites are promising wide-bandgap materials for application in tandem solar cells, but they tend to transit from a black alpha phase to a yellow delta phase in ambient conditions. Herein, a gradient grain-sized (GGS) CsP ...

Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have increased in power conversion efficiency in the last 10 years, from approximate to 3% to now over 25%. While the best perovskite photovoltaics have remarkable efficiencies, the Pb-based absorber is likely problematic for ...

Solar cells based on organo-metal halide perovskites have gained unprecedented research interest over the last few years due to their low-cost solution processability, high power conversion efficiency, which has recently reached a certified value of 25.2%, ...

Organic-inorganic hybrid perovskites have attracted great attention over the last few years as potential light-harvesting materials for efficient and cost-effective solar cells. However, the use of lead iodide in state-of-the-art perovskite devices may dem ...

Herein, the optoelectronic properties of interface-engineered perovskite 2D|3D-heterojunction structure solar cells are reported. The reciprocity theorem is applied to determine the maximum open-circuit voltage (V-oc) the device can deliver under solar ill ...

Deep learning (DL) is a modern powerful instrument for multiple purposes, including classification. In this study, this technique is applied to the task of perovskites formability. A commonly known perovskite dataset is used to try to make an instrument su ...

Three-dimensional hybrid perovskite materials (CH3NH3PbI3) suffer from intrinsic instability owing to organic cation evaporation and ion migration. The inclusion of a large organic cation such as guanidinium has been probed to stabilize the structure. This ...

Incorporation of alkali metals such as Cs+, Rb+, and K+ into hybrid organic-inorganic halide lead perovskites (HOIPs) generally improves the optoelectronic properties of HOIPs. However, it is still uncertain how alkali metals interact and distribute within ...

Capturing and controlling plasmons at buried interfaces with nanometre and femtosecond resolution has yet to be achieved and is critical for next generation plasmonic devices. Here we use light to excite plasmonic interference patterns at a buried metal-di ...

Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) are considered the next-in-line technology in the solar industry. This technology can reduce the cost of solar energy to an unprecedented level given their remarkably high efficiency and ease of manufacturing. Hitherto, many s ...

Hybrid lead halide perovskites will potentially lead the future energy scenario if highly efficient cells have long-term stability. Here we combine state-of-the art mixed-cation formulations containing formamidinium (FA) and methylammonium (MA), with optim ...

A low-temperature solution process technique is employed to develop an inorganic cesium carbonate (Cs2CO3) as an electron transport material for inorganic-organic hybrid double cation (FAPbI(3))(0.85)(MAPbBr(3))(0.15) perovskite solar cells, as an alternat ...

All-inorganic cesium lead iodide perovskites (CsPbI3) are promising materials for efficient solar cells. However, they suffer from the formation of an undesired yellow delta -phase under ambient conditions. Herein, we provide a novel strategy to in situ pr ...

As organic solar cells (OSCs) and perovskite solar cells (PVSCs) move closer to commercialization, further efforts toward optimizing both cell efficiency and stability are needed. As interfaces strongly affect device performance and degradation processes, ...
