Room-temperature stable diazoolefins provide access to a unique class of carbon-donor ligands: N-heterocyclic vinylidenes. Herein, we describe iridium complexes with terminal N-heterocyclic vinylidene ligands. Cationic complexes of type [Cp*IrClL]X (X = Sb ...

A series of functionalised imidazolium halide salts with substituents able to form pi-bonds have been prepared and characterised. Subsequent reaction of these imidazolium halides with Ag[C(CN)(3)] affords imidazolium-based ionic liquids (ILs), some of whic ...

The head-to-tail dimerization of N-heterocyclic diazoolefins is described. The products of these formal (3+3) cycloaddition reactions are strongly reducing quinoidal tetrazines. Oxidation of the tetrazines occurs in a stepwise fashion, and we were able to ...

Large coordination cages with unusual gyrobifastigium-like geometry were obtained by combining cis-blocked PtII or PdII complexes with clathrochelate-based metalloligands ...

The importance of uranyl(V) (UO2+) species associated with environmental and geologic applications is becoming increasingly evident, but the tendency of the uranyl(V) cation to disproportionate in water has prevented the isolation of stable complexes. Here ...

The preparation and the structural characterization of vanadium complexes with terminal and bridging N-heterocyclic vinylidene ligands is reported. The synthesis of the complexes was enabled by utilization of diazoolefins as ligand precursors. Structural d ...

Trinuclear Au3(Pz)3 complexes (Pz = pyrazolate) have been used extensively as components in molecular and polymeric nanostructures. However, the constitutional dynamic chemistry of Au3(Pz)3 complexes remains largely unexplored. We have investigated exchang ...

Carbodicarbenes are strong C‐donor ligands, which have found numerous applications in organometallic and main group element chemistry. Herein, we report a structurally distinct carbodicarbene ligand, which is formed by dinitrogenative coupling of a Fischer ...
