Galaxy intrinsic alignment (IA) is a source of both systematic contamination of cosmic shear measurement and its cosmological applications and valuable information on the large-scale structure of the universe and galaxy formation. The self-calibration (SC) ...

In the course of our 870 mu m APEX/LABOCA follow-up of the Herschel Lensing Survey we have detected a source in AS1063 (RXC J2248.7-4431) that has no counterparts in any of the Herschel PACS/SPIRE bands, it is a Herschel "drop-out" with S-870/S-500 >= 0.5. ...

Using three magnified Type Ia supernovae (SNe Ia) detected behind CLASH (Cluster Lensing and Supernovae with Hubble) clusters, we perform a first pilot study to see whether standardizable candles can be used to calibrate cluster mass maps created from stro ...

We perform a joint BAO and RSD analysis using the eBOSS DR16 LRG and ELG samples in the redshift range of z is an element of [0.6, 1.1], and detect an RSD signal from the cross-power spectrum at a similar to 4 sigma confidence level, i.e., f sigma(8) = 0.3 ...

We present the results of the first observations of the emission line galaxies (ELG) of the extended Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey. From the total 9000 targets, 4600 have been selected from the Dark Energy Survey (DES). In this subsample, the tot ...

Aims. Ly alpha emitters (LAEs) can be detected out to very high redshifts during the epoch of reionization. The evolution of the LAE luminosity function with redshift is a direct probe of the Ly alpha transmission of the intergalactic medium (IGM), and the ...

Observations of the cosmic microwave background indicate that baryons account for 5 per cent of the Universe's total energy content(1). In the local Universe, the census of all observed baryons falls short of this estimate by a factor of two(2,3). Cosmolog ...

In this paper, we describe the wide-field spectroscopic survey telescope (WST) project. WST is a 12-metre wide-field spectroscopic survey telescope with simultaneous operation of a large field-of-view (3 sq. degree), high-multiplex (20,000) multi-object sp ...

We perform a tomographic baryon acoustic oscillations (BAOs) analysis using the two-point galaxy correlation function measured from the combined sample of Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey Data Release 12 (BOSS DR12), which covers the redshift range ...

Aims. We produce a clean and well-characterised catalogue of objects within 100 pc of the Sun from the Gaia Early Data Release 3. We characterise the catalogue through comparisons to the full data release, external catalogues, and simulations. We carry out ...

We present the cosmological analysis of the configuration-space anisotropic clustering in the completed Sloan Digital Sky Survey IV extended Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey (eBOSS) Data Release 16 galaxy sample. This sample consists of luminous red ...

Robotics have recently contributed to cosmological spectroscopy to automatically obtain the map of the observable universe using robotic fiber positioners. For this purpose, an assignment algorithm is required to assign each robotic fiber positioner to a t ...

WST - Widefield Spectroscopic Telescope: We summarise the design challenges of instrumentation for a proposed 12m class Telescope that aims to provide a large (>2.5 square degree) field of view and enable simultaneous Multi-object (> 20,000 objects) and In ...

Context. Among the different observational techniques used to select high-redshift galaxies, the hydrogen recombination line Lyman-alpha (Ly alpha) is of particular interest because it gives access to the measurement of cosmological quantities such as the ...

We present strong-lensing analyses of three galaxy clusters, RX J2129.4 + 0009 (z = 0.235), MS 0451.6 - 0305 (z = 0.55), and MACS J2129.4 - 0741 (z = 0.589), using the powerful combination of Hubble Space Telescope (HSI) multiband observations, and Multi-U ...

L(X)We present weak lensing and X-ray analysis of 12 low-mass clusters from the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope Lensing Survey and XMM-CFHTLS surveys. We combine these systems with high-mass systems from Canadian Cluster Comparison Project and low-mass syst ...

Exploiting the power of gravitational lensing, the Hubble Frontier Fields (HFF) program aims at observing six massive galaxy clusters to explore the distant universe far beyond the limits of blank field surveys. Using the complete Hubble Space Telescope ob ...

We present a complete census of all Herschel-detected sources within the six massive lensing clusters of the HST Frontier Fields (HFF). We provide a robust legacy catalogue of 263 sources with Herschel fluxes, primarily based on imaging from the Herschel L ...

Cluster-scale strong lensing is a powerful tool for exploring the properties of dark matter and constraining cosmological models. However, due to the complex parameter space, pixelized strong lens modelling in galaxy clusters is computationally expensive, ...

We perform a tomographic baryon acoustic oscillations (BAO) analysis using the monopole, quadrupole and hexadecapole of the redshift-space galaxy power spectrum measured from the pre-reconstructed combined galaxy sample of the completed Sloan Digital Sky S ...
