The one-step fabrication of gold films by inkjet printing of a gold precursor ink and its photochemical reduction by exposure to UV light is presented. Inkjet printing creates on a substrate with high control micrometer-thin reaction volumes in which upon ...

Herein, we present the large-scale fabrication of multiplexed three-electrode sensors used in a point-of-care device platform that couples a magnetic bead-based immunoassay strategy with amperometric detection for rapid and highly sensitive analysis. The m ...

Print-light-synthesis is a new concept for the large-scale in situ fabrication of nanoparticles and structures on large substrates. Here, Pt nanoparticles are synthesized on indium tin oxide (ITO) coated glass slides by using combined inkjet printing and p ...

A combination of an immuno-affinity enrichment strategy and sensitive amperometric read-out was implemented in a point-of-care platform intended for bacterial infection analysis. Bacterial cells, selectively captured and enriched from complex matrices thro ...

An amperometric test for the antioxidant power (AOP) of biological and food samples is presented. The gist of the method is to measure by linear sweep voltammetry the anodic current produced during the oxidation of the labile species present in the sample ...

The feasibility of high-throughput scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM) of strongly tilted (tilt angles ≤4°) and curved substrates (diameter of curvature ≥9 cm) is demonstrated by brushing them with a soft linear array of carbon microelectrodes. This ...

Continuous hydrothermal flow synthesis (CHFS) of Ni-Fe layered double hydroxide (LDH) leads to waterborne dispersions of 2D nanoplatelets in the range of 10-50 nm in lateral size. Conversion of the as-synthesized LDH nanoplatelet dispersion into inkjet pri ...

A noninvasive electrochemical melanoma detection approach based on using adhesive tapes for collecting and fixing cells from a suspicious skin area and transferring the cells into a scanning electrochemical microscope (SECM) is presented. The adhesive laye ...

A low-cost, reliable and sensitive electrochemical method for free chlorine analysis in water using inkjet printed silver electrodes is presented. Free chlorine detection was based on linear sweep voltammetry (LSV) analysis of AgCl/Ag2O films formed over a ...

Inkjet printing of 8% Y2O3-stabilized ZrO2 (YSZ) thin films is achieved by designing a novel water-based reactive ink for Drop-on-Demand (DoD) inkjet printing. The ink formulation is based on a novel chemical strategy that consists of a combination of meta ...

A method for bacteria detection and the assessment of the antimicrobial susceptibility profile uses a bacterial viability assay based on combining a highly efficient affinity bacteria enrichment/ separation with an electrochemical redox interrogation measu ...

A new method for the rapid and economic fabrication of dual soft microelectrodes for Soft-Probe-Scanning electrochemical microscopy (Soft-Probe-SECM) and their use for the simultaneous local detection of locally generated species is presented. The process ...

To understand biological processes at the cellular level, a general approach is to alter the cells’ environment and to study their chemical responses. Herein, we present the implementation of an electrochemical push-pull probe, which combines a microfluidi ...

Polyacrylamide (PA) based hydrogels are used in several applications including polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and sensing devices. Homogeneous and compact PA films can be prepared based on chemical or photopolymerization processes. However, the accurat ...

Monitoring biomarkers and injected theranostic nanomaterials in tissues and organs plays a pivotal role in numerous medical applications ranging from cancer diagnostics to drug delivery. Scanning electrochemical microscopy has been demonstrated as a powerf ...

We report here the development of coreactant-based electro-generated chemiluminescence (ECL) as a surface-confined microscopy to image single cells and their membrane proteins. Labeling the entire cell membrane allows one to demonstrate that, by contrast w ...

A linear array of eight individual addressable microelectrodes has been developed in order to perform highthroughput scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM) imaging of large sample areas in contact regime. Similar to previous reports, the soft microelec ...

This paper presents a microfluidic push-pull probe for scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM) consisting of a working microelectrode, an integrated counter/reference electrode and two microchannels for pushing and pulling an electrolyte solution to and ...

A fountain pen probe has been developed to extend the scope of scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM) experiments to dry surfaces. The fountain pen is fabricated by UV-photoablation of a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film and consists on one side of ...

Inkjet printing of electrochemical sensors using a highly loaded mildly edge‐oxidized graphene nanosheet (EOGN) ink is presented. An ink with 30 mg/mL EOGNs is formulated in a mixture of N‐methyl pyrrolidone and propylene glycol with only 30 min of sonicat ...
