We experimentally demonstrate multiple Kerr-frequency-comb generation using different lines from another Kerr comb located up to a 50 km distance. The master and generated slave combs are mutually coherent and have a small variance of frequency error. ...

Silicon Nitride (S13N4) waveguide platforms have seen significant interest in the recent years, motivated by several advantageous properties such as compatibility with CMOS fabrication standards, low propagation loss, high refractive index and optical nonl ...

Frequency-comb-assisted diode laser spectroscopy, employing both the accuracy of an optical frequency comb and the broad wavelength tuning range of a tunable diode laser, has been widely used in many applications. In this Letter, we present a novel method ...

We present an algorithm to arbitrarily engineer the dispersion of photonic-crystal Fabry-Pérot resonators via the accurate design of chirped reflectors, opening avenues to exotic dispersion profiles, dispersive-wave engineering and near-zero-dispersion sol ...

Dissipative Kerr solitons (DKS) in optical microresonators provide a highly miniaturised, chip-integrated frequency comb source with unprecedentedly high repetition rates and spectral bandwidth. To date, such frequency comb sources have been successfully a ...

The first realization of a green-light frequency comb is reported in a silicon nitride ring microresonator, from third-order non-linear interaction of a near-infrared 1-THz spacing Kerr comb spanning 2/3 of an octave. ...

Optical technologies could enable fast and power-efficient networks for data centers. Here, the authors report Si3N4 microcomb based ultrafast photonic switching to provide enhanced performance for data center applications. ...

We demonstrate a scalable and reconfigurable optical TDL for multichannel equalization and correlation of 20-Gbaud QPSK signals using nonlinear wave mixing and a Kerr frequency comb. The two/three-tap OTDL is demonstrated to simultaneously equalize a first ...

The formation of temporal dissipative solitons in optical microresonators enables compact, high-repetition rate sources of ultrashort pulses as well as low noise, broadband optical frequency combs with smooth spectral envelopes. Here we study the influence ...

Optical parametric amplification [1], which utilizes material nonlinearities, has long been considered one approach to increase channel capacity, but the technical complexity of systems using highly nonlinear fibers or bulk waveguides restricts their pract ...

We demonstrated a packaged optomechanical accelerometer with resolution of 850ng. The resonance of a 4 million Q Si3N4 microring resonator is modulated by the stress in springs of a released milligram proof mass upon acceleration. ...

We experimentally investigate the initial dynamics of Kerr-frequency comb formation in crystalline MgF2 and planar Si3N4 microresonator and present a universal, platform independent condition for low phase noise performance. ...

We present the integration of four individual erbium-doped waveguide optical amplifiers on a Si3N4 photonic integrated circuit hybrid integrated with a four-lane semiconductor pump laser diode chip. Each amplifier achieves 15 dB on-chip gain. ...

We demonstrate a stabilization scheme for dissipative Kerr solitons in SiN-resonators achieving high comb stability and long-term operation. Measuring 10Hz level absolute Kerr comb line stability (at 1 second) close to the pump, resulting in kHz level stab ...

We present compact microwave-optical transducers between the microwave S-band and optical C-band based on monolithic integration of piezoelectric actuators atop silicon nitride photonic circuits. The silica cladding of the optical waveguide core is suspend ...
