Marc Samuel FriedliI studied Biology and Molecular Genetics at the University of Geneva and completed a PhD in functional genomics, focusing on transgenesis and gene regulation. Following postdoctoral research at EPFL in epigenetics, stem cells, and transposable elements, I joined the Health 2030 initiative, where I manage strategic programs in precision medicine. Based in the Unit of Precision Medicine within the Faculty of Life Sciences, I contributed to the creation of the Health 2030 Genome Center as a national infrastruc

Sébastien CajotSébastien is a postdoctoral researcher at the Industrial Process and Energy Systems Engineering (IPESE) Group at Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland. He holds a Master in environmental sciences and engineering from EPFL and Kyoto University, and a PhD in energy from EPFL.
During his PhD, he has worked as researcher on urban and energy system planning at the European Institute for Energy Research (EIFER) in Karlsruhe, Germany between 2014 and 2017.
Prior to that, he worked during two and half years as business process analyst at the environmental and energy department of canton de Vaud, Switzerland. There, his focus was also to develop a system of indicators to inform the local government on the efficiency of the State’s energy policy.
Vincent GramoliVincent Gramoli is an Associate Professor and the head of the Concurrent Systems Research Group at the University of Sydney, and a Visiting Professor at EPFL. Prior to this, he was affiliated with INRIA, University of Neuchatel and Cornell University. Vincent received his Habilitation from Sorbonne University. He is a Future Fellow of the Australian Research Council.
Ursula RöthlisbergerU. Röthlisberger was born in Solothurn (Switzerland). In 1988 she made her diploma in Physical Chemistry in the group of Prof. Ernst Schumacher at the University of Berne (Switzerland). Her Ph.D. thesis was done in collaboration with Dr. Wanda Andreoni at the IBM Zurich Research Laboratory in Rüschlikon. After finishing her Ph.D in 1991 she spent some time as a postdoctoral research assistant at the IBM Research Lab. From 1992-1995 she was a postdoctoral research assistant in the group of Prof. Michael L. Klein at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia (USA). In 1994 she was awarded an advanced researcher fellowship (Profil 2) from the Swiss National Science Foundation. Before starting her Profile 2-fellowship she spent another year as postdoctoral research assistant in the group of Prof. Michele Parrinello at the Max-Planck-Institute for Solid State Physics in Stuttgart, Germany. In 1996 she moved as Profile 2-fellow to the ETH in Zurich, hosted by the group of Prof. Wilfred F. van Gunsteren. In 1997 she became Assistant Professor of Computer-Aided Inorganic Chemistry at the ETH Zurich.
