In the last decade, perovskite solar cells have been considered a promising and burgeoning technology for solar energy conversion with a power conversion efficiency currently exceeding 24%. However, although perovskite solar cells have achieved high power ...

Compositional engineering of a mixed cation/mixed halide perovskite in the form of (FAP-bI(3))(0.85)(MAPbBr(3))(0.15) is one of the most effective strategies to obtain record-efficiency perovskite solar cells. However, the perovskite self-organization upon ...

The emerging 5G mobile network technology is envisioned to provide an efficient platform to interconnect machines, objects, and devices in addition to interconnecting people. Equipped with peak data rates, low latency, and massive capacity, 5G technology w ...

Hybrid organic-inorganic lead halide perovskite APbX(3) pigments, such as methylammonium lead iodide, have recently emerged as excellent light harvesters in solid-state mesoscopic solar cells. An important target for the further improvement of the performa ...

Impressive hybrid photovoltaic device performances have been realised with the methylammonium lead triiodide (MAPbI(3)) perovskite absorber in a wide range of device architectures. However, the question as to which of these systems represents the most comm ...

The rapid crystallization of mixed tin‐lead (Sn‐Pb) perovskites and their dependence on antisolvent processes limit the development of large‐area Sn‐Pb perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Vacuum‐flash‐assisted solution processing (VASP) has emerged as a promisi ...

Four D-pi-A dyes (D=donor, A=accpetor) based on a 3,4-thienothiophene pi-bridge were synthesized for use in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSCs). The proaromatic building block 3,4-thienothiophene is incorporated to stabilize dye excited-state oxidation poten ...

We report here a new cationic bis-cyclometallated iridium(III) complex, 1, with deep-blue emission at 440 nm and its use in Light-emitting Electrochemical Cells (LECs). The design is based on the 2',6'-difluoro-2,3'-bipyridine skeleton as the cyclometallat ...

The first example of a heteroarylvinylene pi-conjugated quaterpyridine Ru(II) sensitizer (N1044) was synthesized and used in dye-sensitized solar cells; the dye has an effective panchromatic absorption band, covering the entire visible spectrum up to the NIR region, and superior electrochemical characteristics (HOMO/LUMO and bandgap energies) with respect to previous representative Ru(II) bi- and quaterpyridine sensitizers. A record IPCE curve ranging from 360 to 920 nm has been measured with a maximum of 6

A simple mononuclear cyclometallated iridium(III) complex exhibits white photo- and electro-luminescence in the wavelength range from 440 to 800 nm, which originates from a single emitting excited state of mixed character. ...

In the version of this article initially published, in Fig. 1b (upper panel), the x-axis label was "Time (h)" but should have been "Time (min)". In the captions for Fig. 1 and Fig. 4, the sentence "The coloured areas represent error bars" has been deleted, as error bars are already defined as mean ± SD. For consistency in terminology, "SnO 2 " was replaced with "SnOₓ" in the caption for Fig. 3b and Supplementary Fig. 34; this adjustment does not affect experimental procedures or data. In the second paragrap

We report the first bis-cyclometalated cationic iridium(III) complex with N-aryl-substituted 1H-imidazo [4,5-f][1,10]phenanthroline. The complex emits yellow-orange phosphorescence with a maximum at 583 nm, a quantum yield of 43%, and an excited-state life ...

Although the published values of power conversion efficiency (PCE) have increased continuously in recent years for perovskite solar cells (PSCs), improvements in the stability and performance of PSCs with conventional TiO2 or SnO2 electron transport layers ...

Dye-sensitized/organic solar cells (DS/O-SCs) have gradually improved their power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) and are now being considered for commercialization. This comprehensive review focuses on a prominent class of small organic molecules called tr ...

The effect of the presence of unreacted PbI2 on the perovskite solar cells efficiency is reported. N,N-Dimethylformamide vapor treatment is introduced to study the influence of complete conversion to a power conversion efficiency of the device. It is disco ...

A new cobalt-terpyridine redox shuttle (Co(Cl-phenyl-terpyridine)(2)) has been synthesized, characterized, computationally investigated and then tested in photovoltaic devices, in conjunction with the prototypical N719 and Z907 ruthenium dyes. Low ...

Lead-free perovskites are attracting increasing interest as nontoxic materials for advanced optoelectronic applications. Here, we report on a family of silver/bismuth bromide double perovskites with lower dimensionality obtained by incorporating phenethyla ...
