Two unsymmetrical Zn(II) phthalocyanines 1 and 2 bearing an anchoring carboxylic function linked to the phthalocyanine ring through different rigid arylenevinylene bridges have been designed for dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) applications. The phthalocya ...

The present invention relates to a compound of formula (I) based on compound derived from Acceptor-Donor-Acceptor (A-D-A) oligothiophenes based on heteroacene core and used as hole transporting material in a photovoltaic device, in particular in a solid st ...

(Figure Presented) A polytriarylamine-based oligomer is reported as a hole transporting material and its application in solid-state CH3NH3PbI3 based heterojunction solar cells is described. It yields a power conversion efficiency of 12.0% under 99.6 mW cm- ...

Engineering two-/three-dimensional (2D/3D) perovskite solar cells is nowadays a popular strategy for efficient and stable devices. However, the exact function of the 2D/3D interface in controlling the long-term device behavior is still obscure. Here, we re ...

High internal surface areas, an asset that is highly sought after in material design, has brought metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) to the forefront of materials research. In fact, a major focus in the field is on creating innovative ways to maximize MOF sur ...

The lack of organic non-fullerene ETMs with good electron transport and device stability is an important problem for the further development and commercialization of perovskite solar cells. Herein, the use of SubPcs as ETMs in PSCs is explored. To this end ...

A library of emission spectra of 90 bis-cyclometallated iridium complexes has been obtained using a simple combinatorial approach performed at room temperature. Trends in emission maxima are rationalized using Hammett parameters and invoking inter ligand e ...

The high toxicity, volatility, and dispersion of the light aromatics, benzene, toluene, and xylene (BTX) pose a serious threat to the environment and human health. Compared to incineration, catalytic oxidation technologies for BTX removal offer benefits su ...

Hybrid perovskites are currently one of the most active fields of research owing to their enormous potential for photovoltaics. The performance of 3D hybrid organic-inorganic perovskite solar cells has increased at an incredible rate, reaching power conver ...

Despite recent increases in perovskite solar cell (PSC) efficiencies, long-term stability remains a barrier to manufacturing and marketing. SnO2 electron transport layers enable the low-temperature processing of planer n-i-p structured PSCs. However, ultra ...

Metal sulfide (PbS and CdS) quantum dots (QDs) were prepared over mesoporous TiO2 films by improved successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction (SILAR) processes. The as-prepared QD-sensitized electrodes were combined with a cobalt complex redox couple ...

An orange-red-emitting iridium complex (N958) was prepared, and its photophysical and device-based characteristics were investigated. Despite N958 displaying quite poor photophysical properties in solution (acetonitrile), organic light-emitting diode (OLED ...

We developed a cost-effective spiro-type 4,4 ',4 '',4 '''-(2H,2 ' H,4H,4 ' H-3,3 '-spiro-bi[thieno[3,4-b][1,4] dioxepine]-6,6 ',8,8 '-tetrayl) tetrakis(N,N-bis(4-methoxyphenyl)aniline) hole transporting material (PST1) for perovskite solar cells (PSCs) th ...

One of the leading approaches to enhancing the performance and stability of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) involves passivating the perovskite surface and grain boundaries with large ammonium salts. Here, we report the synthesis of furan-, thiophene-, and s ...

Polymeric hole-selective materials (P-HSMs) offer advantages like solution processability, tunable energy levels, and improved mechanical stability, making them suitable for large-scale and flexible substrates. Poly[bis(4-phenyl) (2,4,6-trimethylphenyl) am ...

Cationic cyclometalated iridium(III) complexes (N,C-2'-2-phenylpyridyl)(2)Ir((NN)-N-boolean AND) with alkyl-substituted 1-(2'-pyridyl)-pyrazole (NN)-N-boolean AND ligands exhibit green phosphorescence from a cyclometalating-ligand-centered excited s ...

Ultraviolet-induced degradation has emerged as a critical stability concern impeding the widespread adoption of perovskite solar cells (PSCs), particularly in the context of phase-unstable wide-band gap perovskite films. This study introduces a novel appro ...

The improvement of the long-term stability of perovskite-based solar cells (PSCs) toward commercialization is closely linked to the development of cutting-edge charge-transporting materials. The progress on the design and the synthesis of new hole-transpor ...

Several zinc-based phthalocyanines have been synthesized and used in Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells (DSSC). The results have been compared with the standard TT1 phthalocyanine, which shows good light-to-energy conversion efficiencies in comparison with other I ...
