Methylammonium lead iodide perovskite solar cells with improved performance and stability have been successfully prepared by using a non-stoichiometric PbI2 : CH3NH3I ratio in the precursor solution, and yield a power conversion efficiency (PCE) of above 1 ...

Following our recent work on the use of Co(III) complexes as p-type dopants for triarylamine-based organic hole-conductors, we herein report on two new Co(III) complexes for doping applications. With the aim of ameliorating the dopant's suitability for its ...

Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSCs) for outdoor applications must show both high efficiency and long-term stability. Here we introduce a co-sensitized, ionic liquid electrolyte-based DSC meeting these requirements. A key feature of our embodiment is the conc ...

Thieno[3,4-b]pyrazine (TPz) is examined as an electron deficient pi-bridge enabling near-infrared (NIR) spectral access in dye sensitized solar cells (DSCs). Seven dissymmetric dyes for DSCs were synthesized (NL2-NL8) with TPz as the pi-bridge utilizing pa ...

The first Bilateral Energy Conference-organized jointly by the E-MRS and MRS-was held at the E-MRS Spring Meeting this year and included the first symposium to appear in Europe dedicated to solar hydrogen production. The strong turnout and high level of in ...

A novel bifunctional linker molecule, bis(4-mercaptophenyl)phosphinic acid, is designed to be used in a QDs solar cells. The linker anchors to TiO2 mesoporous film through the phosphinic acid functional group and to the PbS QDs through the two thiol groups ...

The effect of TBP on Co(II/III) redox electrolyte was examined. Photocurrent of the device can be limited in electrolyte with high TBP concentration due to its viscous nature. The higher amount of TBP in electrolyte increases the viscosity of electrolyte a ...

We report two novel D-pi-A type organic dyes with a coplanar dithieno[2,3-d; 2',3'-d']benzo[1,2 b;4,5-b']dithiophene (DTBDT) as pi-spacer for dye-sensitized solar cells. A best device performance with a power conversion efficiency of 6.32% is achieved, mak ...

Reduced graphene oxide (rGO) is a very stable material with tunable electronic properties dependent on its reduction level. Nevertheless, the incorporation of rGO into perovskite solar cells (PSCs) frequently demonstrates inconsistent results, and it plays ...

Two new [1,2,5]thiadiazolo[3,4-c]pyridine-containing D-A-pi-A organic dyes (PT-1 and PT-2) have been designed and synthesized for utilization in dye-sensitized solar cells. PT-2 sensitizer, which was synthesized by incorporating the 4,4-bis(2-ethylhexyl)-4 ...

Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSCs) based on nanocrystalline TiO2 have been fabricated with an amphiphilic ruthenium sensitizer NaRu(2,2'-bipyridine-4-carboxylic acid-4'-carboxylate)(4,4'-dinonyl-2,2'-bipyridine)(NCS)2, coded as Z-907, and a series of -guani ...
