A dyestuff shown by the formula (1), ML 1 L 2 L 3 (1) wherein M represents an element belonging to Group 8 to Group 10 of the long format Periodic Table, L 1 and L 2 individually represent a bidentate ligand shown by the formula (2), L 3 represents a biden ...

Mixtures of cations or halides with FAPbI(3) (where FA is formamidinium) lead to high efficiency in perovskite solar cells (PSCs) but also to blue-shifted absorption and long-term stability issues caused by loss of volatile methylammonium (MA) and phase se ...

An efficient synthesis of N-(2 ',4 '-bis(hexyloxy)-[1,1 '-biphenyl]-4-yl)-N-(4-bromophenyl)-2 ',4 '-bis(hexyloxy)-[ 1,1 '-biphenyl]-4-amine (BPTPA donor, 5) was developed based on a new 4-step synthetic route. The BPTPA donor is used to quickly access two ...

Power conversion efficiency (PCE) of the perovskite solar cells (PSCs) has remarkably been increased from3.1%to 25.2%. The fast expansion of the PSCs has been along with the development of compositional and interface engineering, which has been playing a c ...

A low-cost electrochromic (EC) window based on a redox-flow system that does not require expensive transparent conductive oxide (TCO) substrates is introduced and demonstrated for the first time. An aqueous I-3/I redox electrolyte is used in place of a TCO ...

Sunlight-driven water splitting to produce hydrogen fuel is an attractive method for renewable energy conversion. Tandem photoelectrochemical water splitting devices utilize two photoabsorbers to harvest the sunlight and drive the water splitting reaction. ...

Rapid and facile synthesis of similar to 7 nm and similar to 100-400 nm nano-structures of anatase titania is achieved by exploiting the chemical nature of solvents through a microwave based approach. After using these nanostructures as a photoanode in dye ...

We demonstrate that by a proper design of a system comprising a perovskite solar cell (PSC) coupled to an electrochemical double-layer capacitor (EDLC), it is possible to simultaneously improve both the PSC and EDLC performance and outperform each single u ...

Hydrophobic liq. salts of formula (I) are new: R1,R3 = 1-8C (un)branched alkyl, fluoroalkyl, or alkoxyalkyl; R2,R4,R5 = H or 1-3C alkyl. Also claimed is: (a) the prepn. of such salts; (b) an electrolytic compsn. contg. (I) as aprotic polar solvent; and (c) an electrochemical photovoltaic cell contg. the electrolytic compsn..

The invention relates to an optoelectronic and/or photoelectrochemical device comprising a conductive support layer, n-type semiconductor, a sensitizer or light-absorber layer, a hole transporting layer, a spacer layer and a back contact, wherein the n-typ ...

Electrolyte materials are the key components in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSCs) and are very crucial to the performance and long-term stability of DSCs. We developed a series of diamide derivatives as novel low molecular mass organogelators (LMOGs) for D ...

Solid-state nanocrystalline solar cells composed of chemical-bath-deposited Sb2S3 (antimony sulfide) as a light absorber layer deposited on nano-porous TiO2 and spiro-MeOTAD as an organic hole-transporting material yielded a solar conversion efficiency of ...

A series of novel near-infrared-absorbing zinc phthalocyanines bearing donor-chromophore-acceptor/anchoring groups have been synthesized to investigate their influence on solar cell performance. With the aim of extending the absorption spectra while mainta ...

A ruthenium sensitizer (coded C101, NaRu (4,4'-bis(5-hexylthiophen-2-yl)-2,2'-bipyridine) (4-carboxylic acid-4'-caboxylate-2,2'-bipyridine) (NCS)(2)) containing a hexylthiophene-conjugated bipyridyl group as an ancillary ligand is presented for use in soli ...

This invention pertains to light emitting materials comprising novel ortho-metalated transition metal complexes [C^N] 2 ML comprising two orthometalated ligands having imidazole moieties and an ancillary ligand of ²-diketonate type. It has been surprisingl ...

The present invention provides an improved redox couple for electrochemical and optoelectronic devices. The redox couple is based on a complex of a first row transition metal, said complex containing at least one mono-, bi-, or tridentate ligand comprising ...
