Layered hybrid halide perovskites are known to be more environmentally stable than their 3D analogues. The enhanced stability is particularly relevant for Dion-Jacobson-type layered perovskites due to their promising photovoltaic performances. However, in ...

The kinetics of photoelectrochemical (PEC) oxidation of methanol, as a model organic substrate, on alpha-Fe2O3 photoanodes are studied using photoinduced absorption spectroscopy and transient photocurrent measurements. Methanol is oxidized on alpha-Fe2O3 t ...

Supported palladium oxide catalysts are able to convert CH4 to C2H6, CO, CO2, H2 and H2O at temperatures ⩾315 °C. Catalysts did not show any support effect when TiO2, Al2O3, ZrO2, La2O3 and MgO were used as supports. With sequential O2 pulsing the catalyst showed long term activity when used at temperatures below 400 °C. Addition of Pt increased selectivity whereas with Ga it decreased. Results indicate participation of lattice O2 from catalyst in the reaction pathway.

Iodide redox (3I(-)/I-3(-)), polysulfide redox (S2-/S-x(2-)), organic redox [TMTU/TMFDS2+: tetramethylthiourea/tetramethylformaminium-bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl) imide], ferrocene redox (Fc/Fc(+)), nickel redox [Ni(II)/Ni(III)], and cobalt redox [Co(II)/ ...

The present review presents the application of electronically conducting polymers (conducting polymers) as hole conductors in solid-state dye solar cells (S-DSSCs). At first, the basic principles of dye solar cell operation are presented. The next section ...

We report herein lightweight, and economical dye-sensitized solar cells fabrication facilitated by an all plastic, metal free cathode consisting of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene). ...

As the photovoltaic performance of a device is strongly influenced by the morphology of perovskite, achieving precise control over the crystal formation of organic-inorganic halide perovskites synthesized in the ambience of chloride ions has garnered much ...

We present two sensitizers, Ru(4,4'-dicarboxyvinyl)-2,2'-bipyridine)(4,4'-dinonyl-2,2'-bipyridine)(NCS)(2) (K9) and Ru(4,4'-dicarboxy(phenylethenyl)-2,2'-bipyridine)(4,4'-dinonyl-2,2'-bipyridine)(NCS)(2) (K23), which were synthesized and characterized by a ...

The present invention provides new bi-and polypyridine ligands of ruthenium dyes. The invention also provides solar cells, in particular dye-sensitized solar cells comprising the dyes. Formula (I): ...

Four center symmetrical star-shaped hole transporting materials (HTMs) comprising planar triazatruxene core and electron-rich methoxy-engineered side arms have been synthesized and successfully employed in (FAPbI(3))(0.85)(MAPbBr(3))(0.15) perovskite solar ...

The behavior toward oxygen sensing of nanocomposites made of the aluminum oxide-hydroxide nanostructured solid support (AP200/19) and neutral blue emitting cyclometalated iridium(III) complexes was studied. The results are compared with the same dyes immob ...

Potentially temperature-resistant inorganic perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells (TSCs) are promising devices for boosting efficiency past the single-junction silicon limit. However, undesirable non-radiative recombination generally leads to a significant ...

Following former Studies, the donor-acceptor combinations of -NH2-substituted porphyrin donor and the acceptors C, D, E, F, H and G, those of -OH-, -CH3- and -Ph-substituted porphyrins as well as porphine donors and the acceptors E, G. and H, and those of ...

The paradigm shift in dye sensitized solar cells (DSCs) - towards donor-pi bridge-acceptor (D-pi-A) dyes - increases the performances of DSCs and challenges established design principles. Framed by this shifting landscape, a series of four diketopyrrolopyr ...

Herein we present the latest fabrication and characterization techniques for atomic layer deposition of Al2O3, ZnO, SnO2, Nb2O5, HfO2, Ga2O3 and TiO2 for research on dye-sensitized solar cell. In particular, we review the fabrication of state-of-the-art 3D host-passivation-guest photoanodes and ZnO nanowires as well as characterize the deposited thin films using spectroscopic ellipsometry, X-ray diffraction, Hall effect, J-V curves and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.
