Validation of short-pulse reflectometry turbulence measurements with a synthetic diagnostic

Stefano Coda, Stephan Brunner, Oleg Krutkin, Umesh Kumar, Mackenzie Peter-Fulford Van Rossem

Experimental measurements of the turbulence amplitude utilizing a short pulse reflectometry method are presented. Two discharges with shaped plasma possessing opposite signs of triangularity are considered and a higher turbulence amplitude is found in the ...

Spatiotemporal energy‐density distribution of time‐reversed electromagnetic fields

Farhad Rachidi-Haeri, Nicolas Mora Parra, Hamidreza Karami, Elias Per Joachim Le Boudec

Time reversal exploits the invariance of electromagnetic wave propagation in reciprocal and lossless media to localize radiating sources. Time-reversed measurements are back-propagated in a simulated domain and converge to the unknown source location. The ...

Impact of beam-coupling impedance on the Schottky spectrum of bunched beam

Tatiana Pieloni

The Schottky monitors of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) can be used for non-invasive beam diagnostics to estimate various bunch characteristics, such as tune, chromaticity, bunch profile or synchrotron frequency distribution. However, collective effects, ...

Orientation-dependent two-dimensional magnonic crystal modes in an ultralow-damping ferrimagnetic waveguide containing repositioned hexagonal lattices of Cu disks

Dirk Grundler

Two-dimensional (2D) hexagonal lattices of Cu disks are shown to induce orientation-dependent magnonic crystal (MC) modes for propagating forward volume spin waves in a single-crystal yttrium iron garnet (YIG) film. The width and depth of the magnonic band ...
