Abstract

Coordination of the Task "Process Integration for Industry Decarbonization" of the Technology Collaboration Programme (TCP) on Industrial Energy- Related Technologies and Systems (IETS).

Task XXIV "Process Integration for Industry Decarbonization" of the IEA Industrial Energy-Related Technologies and Systems (IETS) Technology Collaboration Programme (TCP) started its first year of coordination activities in 2025. The Swiss Federal Office of Energy (SFOE) funds the coordination of this international initiative, which aims to develop a documented, open-source database of ex-ante models covering industrial processes, decarbonization technologies, and energy systems. This interim report documents the progress achieved during Year 1 across six main activities: ontology and procedure development, model interface definition, process integration documentation, sustainability metrics, and dissemination. Appendix: Annual Report from IETS, which includes portions of Task XXIV (i.e. the Swiss contributions) and produced by the IETS secretariat based on authors' input.
