Abstract

The title compd. was obtained by reaction of (tert-BuO)3SiSH with metallic Li. Crystals are monoclinic, space group P21/n, with a 13.088(3), b 27.188(5), c 17.525(4) .ANG., b 102.25(3) Deg; Z = 2, dc = 1.083; R = 0.036, Rw(F2) = 0.105 for 11,732 reflections. The mol. is located on a center of inversion. The asym. unit contains only half a mol. and one disordered toluene mol. [on SciFinder (R)]

Crystal

A crystal or crystalline solid is a solid material whose constituents (such as atoms, molecules, or ions) are arranged in a highly ordered microscopic structure, forming a crystal lattice that extends in all directions. Metal

Lithium-ion battery

A lithium-ion or Li-ion battery is a type of rechargeable battery which uses the reversible reduction of lithium ions to store energy. The negative electrode of a conventional lithium-ion cell is typically graphite, a form of carbon. This negative electrode is sometimes called the anode as it acts as an anode during discharge. The positive electrode is typically a metal oxide; the positive electrode is sometimes called the cathode as it acts as a cathode during discharge.
