The first observation of exotic states with a new quark content ccus decaying to the J/Psi K+ final state is reported with high significance from an amplitude analysis of the B+-> J/ Psi phi K+ decay. The analysis is carried out using proton-proton collisi ...

This thesis presents a search for

CP

violation in the

D^0\rightarrow K^+K^-\pi^+\pi^-

Cabibbo-suppressed decay mode using an amplitude analysis. New sources of

CP

violation have to be discovered in order to explain the matter-antimatter imbalance obs ...

The Xi(-)(b)pi(+)pi(-) invariant mass spectrum is investigated with an event sample of proton-proton collisions at root s = 13 TeV, collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC in 2016-2018 and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 140 fb(-1). The gro ...

We report the result from the first search for D-0 decays to invisible final states. The analysis is performed on a data sample of 924 fb(-1) collected at and near the gamma(4S) and gamma(5S) resonances with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy ...

The experimental results on the ratios of branching fractions R(D) = B((B) over bar -> D tau(-)(nu) over bar (tau))/B((B) over bar -> Dl(-)(nu) over bar (e)) and R(D*) = B((B) over bar -> Dtau(-)(nu) over bar (tau))/B((B) over bar -> Dtau(-)(nu) over bar ...

We present the results of a search for the rare decays B -> h nu(nu) over bar, where h stands for K+, K-S(0), K*(+); K*(0); pi(+); pi(0), rho(+) and rho(0). The results are obtained with 772 x 10(6) B (B) over bar pairs collected with the Belle detector at ...

An amplitude analysis of the decay Lambda(0)(b) -> D(0)p pi(-) is performed in the part of the phase space containing resonances in the D(0)p channel. The study is based on a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 fb(-1) of pp collisi ...

We present the results of the first Dalitz plot analysis of the decay D-0 -> K-pi(+)eta. The analysis is performed on a data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 953 fb(-1) collected by the Belle detector at the asymmetric-energy e(+)e(-) KEKB ...

We study hadronic transitions between bottomonium states using 496 fb(-1) data collected at the gamma(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric energy e(+)e(-) collider. We measure: B(gamma(4S) -> pi(+)pi(-)gamma(1S)) = (8.2 +/- 0.5(stat ...

Using a data sample of 772 x 10(6) B (B) over bar pairs collected on the Upsilon(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric energy e(+)e(-) collider, we report the observation of B-0 -> p (p) over bar pi(+)pi(-) and the first observation ...

The element vertical bar V-cb vertical bar of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix is measured using semileptonic B-s(0) decays produced in proton-proton collision data collected with the LHCb detector at center-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV, correspondi ...

We perform a full amplitude analysis of the process e(+)e(-)-> J/psi D (D) over bar, where D refers to either D-0 or D+. A new charmoniumlike state X*(3860) that decays to D (D) over bar is observed with a significance of 6.5 sigma. Its mass is (3862(-32)( ...

This work explores charmless

B

decays using the LHCb detector. LHCb is one of the four main experiments at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) located at CERN, and is designed to perform CP violation measurements and to study rare decays of hadrons containin ...

A search for charge-parity (CP) violation in Cabibbo-suppressed D-s(+) -> K-S(0)pi(+), D+ -> (KSK+)-K-0, and D+ -> phi pi(+) decays is reported using proton-proton collision data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.8 fb(-1), collected at a cent ...

The motion of high energetic particle beams in accelerators is influenced by their interactions with the accelerator environment through electromagnetic fields induced by the particle passages. Traveling with a speed close to the speed of light, the partic ...

We report a search for X(3872) and X(3915) in B+ ->chi(c1)pi K-0(+) decays. We set an upper limit of B(B+ -> X(3872)K+) x B(X(3872) -> chi(c1)pi(0)) < 8.1 x 10(-6) and B(B+ -> X(3915)K+) x B(X(3915) -> chi(c1)pi(0)) < 3.8 x 10(-5) at 90% confidence level. ...
