Orly Mendoza

Orly joined SOIL as a postdoctoral researcher in June 2023. He holds a master's degree in Physical Land Resources (specialization Soil Science) and a PhD in Bioscience Engineering (Natural Resources) from Ghent University. He is working on the European Joint Program SOIL project TilSoilC. His research is dedicated to exploring the effect of different tillage practices on the intricate relationships between soil mineralogy, oxygen dynamics and soil organic carbon stabilization. Orly's research spans across diverse geographical regions and soil types, including Switzerland, Italy and Cameroon, and encompasses agricultural soils subjected to varying degrees of tillage intensity.
