Andrea VezzosiAndrea Vezzosi is a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Prof. Ursula Rothlisberger at the Institute of Chemical Sciences and Engineering, EPFL (Switzerland). He earned his Ph.D. in Physics and Nanosciences from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in 2024, where he investigated spin–orbit coupling and topological states in core–shell semiconductor nanowires. During his doctoral studies, he developed nwkp, an open-source Python library for computing the band structure of core–shell nanowires using

I am a researcher at the interface of photonics and materials science; my interests and research contributions relate to the use of correlated-disordered structures for light management for ultra-thin film photovoltaic applications. This interdisciplinary research requires expertise in both simulation and nanofabrication of semiconductor devices. My career started in Germany, with a degree in microsystems engineering from the University of Applied Sciences of Regensburg and a master's in ph

Mingyang WeiMingyang Wei is a postdoctoral researcher at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. He received his B.Sc in Physics from Peking University in 2016, followed by a PhD at the University of Toronto in 2020 under the supervision of Prof. Ted Sargent. Mingyangs research advanced the synthesis and photophysical understanding of metal halide perovskites toward better single junction and tandem solar cells, luminescent solar concentrators, and optical modulators. His publications have received over 5000 citations with an h-index of 30. Mingyang has been awarded with the Marie Sklodowska Curie Individual Fellowship 2021-2023 and Canadas Governor General's Gold Medal.
