Mingyang Wei is a postdoctoral researcher at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. He received his B.Sc in Physics from Peking University in 2016, followed by a PhD at the University of Toronto in 2020 under the supervision of Prof. Ted Sargent. Mingyangs research advanced the synthesis and photophysical understanding of metal halide perovskites toward better single junction and tandem solar cells, luminescent solar concentrators, and optical modulators. His publications have received over 5000 citations with an h-index of 30. Mingyang has been awarded with the Marie Sklodowska Curie Individual Fellowship 2021-2023 and Canadas Governor General's Gold Medal.
