Two-level systems (TLSs) are the basic units of quantum computers but face a trade-off between operation speed and coherence due to shared coupling paths. Here, we investigate a TLS given by a singlet-triplet (ST+) transition. We identify a magnetic-field ...

Quantum metrology, a cornerstone of quantum technologies, exploits entanglement and superposition to achieve higher precision than classical protocols in parameter-estimation tasks. When combined with critical phenomena such as phase transitions, the diver ...

We define quantum chaos and integrability in open quantum many-body systems as a dynamical property of single stochastic realizations, referred to as quantum trajectories. This definition relies on the predictions of random matrix theory applied to the sub ...

The rise of electron spin qubit architectures for quantum computing processors has led to a strong interest in designing and integrating ferromagnets to induce stray magnetic fields for electron dipole spin resonance (EDSR). The integration of nanomagnets ...

One of the most promising platforms for the realization of spin-based quantum computing are planar germanium quantum wells embedded between silicon-germanium barriers. To achieve comparably thin stacks with little surface roughness, this type of heterostru ...

Parametric amplifiers play a crucial role in modern quantum technology by enabling the enhancement of weak signals with minimal added noise. Traditionally, Josephson junctions have been the primary choice for constructing parametric amplifiers. Nevertheles ...

Decoherence of a charge qubit is usually credited to charge noise in the environment. Here we show that charge noise may not be the limiting factor for the qubit coherence. To this end, we study coherence properties of a crystal-phase defined semiconductor ...

Semiconductor quantum dots in which electrons or holes are isolated via electrostatic potentials generated by surface gates are promising building blocks for semiconductor-based quantum technology. Here, we investigate double-quantum-dot (DQD) charge qubit ...

In this work we explore the fabrication and experimental characterization of multi-gate FD-SOI devices that can operate both as single electron transistors (SETs) and MOSFETs. FD-SOI SET operation is achieved with electrostatically induced tunneling barrie ...

Combining superconducting resonators and quantum dots has triggered tremendous progress in quantum information, however, attempts at coupling a resonator to even charge parity spin qubits have resulted only in weak spin-photon coupling. Here, we integrate ...

Spin qubits in silicon and germanium quantum dots are promising platforms for quantum computing, but entangling spin qubits over micrometer distances remains a critical challenge. Current prototypical architectures maximize transversal interactions between ...

Superconducting microwave metamaterials offer enormous potential for quantum optics and information science, enabling the development of advanced quantum technologies for sensing and amplification. In the context of circuit quantum electrodynamics, such me ...

Engineering the electromagnetic environment of a quantum emitter gives rise to a plethora of exotic light -matter interactions. In particular, photonic lattices can seed long-lived atom-photon bound states inside photonic band gaps. Here, we report on the ...

A singlet-triplet hole spin qubit in a Ge quantum well is demonstrated to be fast, coherent, and compatible with operation at magnetic fields below 10 mT, opening the door to integration with superconducting technologies. ...

Landau–Zener–Stückelberg–Majorana (LZSM) interference occurs when qubit parameters are periodically modulated across avoided level crossings. We explore this phenomenon in nonlinear multilevel bosonic systems, where interference is influenced by multiple e ...

Semiconductor quantum dots (QDs) in planar germanium (Ge) heterostructures have emerged as front-runners for future hole-based quantum processors. Here, we present strong coupling between a hole charge qubit, defined in a double quantum dot (DQD) in planar ...

In this work we propose and demonstrate the integration of ferromagnetic nanosized cobalt barrier gates in quantum dots arrays on ultra-thin fully-depleted Silicon-On-Insulator (SOI) nanowires. This innovative structure enhances both driving and addressabi ...

As a waveguide circuit QED architecture, we investigate theoretically the single-photon pair emission of a Cooper pair splitter composed of two double quantum dots, each coupled to a microwave transmission line. We find that this system can generate freque ...

Niobium nitride (NbN) is a particularly promising material for quantum technology applications, as it shows the degree of reproducibility necessary for large-scale superconducting circuits. We demonstrate that resonators based on NbN thin films present a o ...
